@ericweinstein The definition of when life begins is irrelevant if one holds the view (as I do) that bodily autonomy is of greater value than preservation of any life contained within a body.
It’s a waste of time debating when life begins.
Also waste debating late term abortion given rarity.
Imagine you look up a recipe on Google, and instead of providing results, it lectures you on the "dangers of cooking" and sends you to a restaurant.
The people who think poisoning AI/GPT models with incoherent "safety" filters is a good idea are a threat to general computation.

@Aratosbung @lrvick 1) I send message to you on signal. 2) regardless of the complex layers of indirection with crypto, the server still needs to figure out where (IP) to send that message to (you). Now you have meta-data.
@lrvick Why is Google obligated to host your sync data for you? They build and maintain the source code. Expecting them to also host your data for free sounds like your expectations are off.
While Slack is down, again, I'll take this moment to point out that Matrix exists, is open source, federated, end to end encrypted, and you can host it yourself.
If you need an easy button you can pay them to run a dedicated server for you: https://t.co/Ng1buwVC9j
