Building tools to revitalise civil society with decentralised tech. Default privacy. Always open source. Built for real life.
@Logos_network dev updates.
Do you want to know a secret?
The Logos docs are all on Github.
But so is everything else built on Logos because Logos is 100% open sourced. (its all backed up too)
Anyway, the Logos Blockchain testnet v0.1.2 has been on and cracking for over a month now. (exclaim!!)
anyway...

For 15 consecutive years, global internet freedom has declined.
In 2024 alone, there were 296 internet shutdowns across 54 countries.
Governments cut access during protests, elections, and political unrest. Encryption tools are being restricted. VPNs and circumvention technologies are under attack. Journalists, activists, and dissidents continue to be targeted with spyware designed to silence criticism and suppress dissent.
Internet freedom matters because:
𖤓 Freedom of expression depends on the ability to communicate safely
𖤓 Journalists and whistleblowers need protection
𖤓 Activists need secure ways to organise and share information
𖤓 Communities need access to independent news and uncensored communication
𖤓 People living through blackouts and repression need resilient networks that cannot easily be shut down
An open internet requires infrastructure. And infrastructure requires funding.
That’s why we’re supporting this campaign led by @torproject and @FundingCommons to fund the tools and projects defending internet freedom around the world.

Built a @Logos_network Basecamp module and companion extension for preserving @internetarchive collections to Logos Storage and inscribing their CIDs to Logos Blockchain using keys stored on @Keycard_.
it’s fast, it’s DDoS protected and it’s private. checkout Logos Messaging (part of @Logos_network stack) if you’re looking for a peer-to-peer network to build data channels
Join us in 1 hour.
Brainstorm potential ideas for tools you can build on the Logos stack, get help from other devs, or just show off what you're building.

There’s a story from Václav Havel about a greengrocer living under communism.
Each day, he places a sign in his shop window: “Workers of the world, unite.”
He doesn’t believe it.
He barely thinks about it.
He puts it there because everyone else does.
Because refusing would cost him.
The sign tells the system what it wants to hear:
“I am obedient. I am safe. I will not disturb the lie.”
Havel understood that regimes are not always held together by belief. But by millions of small performances of compliance.
The same is true now.
But our signs don’t look like communist slogans in shop windows.
They look like pretending the economy is healthy while families cannot afford homes.
Pretending platforms connect us while they atomise and surveil us.
Pretending politics offers choice.
Pretending institutions will save us, even as they prove time and again that they do not keep their promises.
To stop putting up the sign is to stop lending your obedience to the lie.
But refusal is not enough. We must build.
Parallel economies, education, mutual aid, communication.
Parallel systems of trust, coordination, and exchange.
This is the work of the parallel society.
Not escape. Not despair. Not waiting for permission.
But a refusal to live within the lie, and a commitment to build what comes next.
Stop putting up the sign.

the @Keycard_ Shell understood the assignment.
because it's not about the looks or the cool factor.
it's about the mission.
and there's no other hardware wallet as true-to-ethos, cypherpunk, and self-sovereign as the Keycard Shell.

The main logic for decentralised sequencing on Logos blockchain is merged.
This completes the zone-sdk competing-sequencers suite (joining the TUI and e2e tests from prior weeks): multiple sequencers can now race to produce the next block, with no single coordinator in charge.
Read further 👇
The LEZ sequencer and indexer migrated to zone-sdk, replacing the bedrock client.
zone-sdk handles the tricky parts of talking to a Logos node (tx submission, retries, backfill, checkpoints) for a smaller, cleaner LEZ codebase.

"By 2050, 27% of all federal spending, 9% of GDP, will be going to pay just the interest of the debt.
Not the debt. The interest.
The government is now spending more to service its past than to fund its future."
