Today in the morning, more than a hundred Russian drones were present in Ukrainian airspace, with additional waves of Russian attacks possible throughout the day, Volodymyr Zelenskyy faithfully reported to Ukrainians.
Zelenskyy’s direct quote: “Right now, there are more than a hundred Russian drones in our sky, and further waves of drone attacks may occur during the day. Russia continues its strikes and does so brazenly — deliberately targeting our railway infrastructure and civilian objects in cities.”
Zelenskyy himself is always the main voice delivering these warnings. Ukrainian propaganda routinely claims that Ukraine shoots down over 90% of the drones.
Yet the actual approach to these attacks has been, for the fifth year running, to shelter and strike back at Russia rather than developing effective technological solutions to protect people.
Zelenskyy’s entire political strategy revolves around portraying Ukraine as a perpetual victim and presenting this dead-end situation as the only possible policy. While his inner circle gets richer and richer on this bloody war.
