My manager kinda has main character energy in every single meeting I'm the one who actually built the slides for. I used to find it mildly funny. Now I just build the slides slightly worse on purpose, small typos, things only I would notice, so I know exactly how closely he's actually reading anything before he presents it as his own.
My cousin said, “Women complain about men being emotionally unavailable, but then laugh when men actually open up.” I asked him, “Do you think men should be allowed to be vulnerable?” He said, “Absolutely.” I asked, “Even if their girlfriend sees them differently afterward?” He said, “That's the risk.” I said, “Then maybe men aren't only afraid of vulnerability. Maybe they're afraid that the people they love will respect them less once they see them struggling.” He went quiet and said, “That's actually true.” We started talking about how strange it is that men are expected to be emotionally open while simultaneously being punished for not looking weak. That conversation got way deeper than I expected.
men will acknowledge equality only when its time to sit in a pregnant lady's seat or physically fight a woman but when its time to take orders from them or be paid equally, they will go into cardiac arrest and act like the world is ending. somehow equality is common sense when women lose and radicalism when women win.
My friend rejected a guy after he bought her a drink.
He got visibly angry. “I'm a nice guy. You girls always choose the jerks.” She paused, looked at him, and said: “If buying me an $5 drink makes you expect sex in return, that's not kindness. That's pure lust" instead of getting embraced he starts shouting and calling her a whore. Seriously men these days needs to grow up.
