@Keir_Starmer@ASK_des Surely the title unite the Kingdom means unite the kingdom in other words all people of the UK united together and be proud of this country. The only people I can see causing hate and division is your government and the organisations the back the terrorists which you seem to back
@jamesroberts78@emilysheffield@Uber Black taxis are highly regulated as Micheal as mentioned
Plus the price of the only vehicle we are allowed to use
Wish as Micheal said freebies on it all
This is shocking on multiple levels.
A Freedom of Information request revealed that 158 individuals granted private hire licences had prior convictions for violent offences. In addition, 61 had drug-related convictions, 36 had drink-driving offences, and 4 had sexual offence convictions.
Overall, the FOI showed that 438 licences were issued to individuals with criminal records in the last year alone.
Further concern arises from reporting by @carolinegall1, which conflates taxi drivers with private hire drivers. These licences were granted to minicab drivers, not licensed taxi drivers - an important distinction that risks diverting attention from what is increasingly being highlighted as a very serious issue.

The problem, Victoria, is that all London taxis are fully wheelchair-accessible - yet they’re forced to compete on the same terms as standard saloon cars.
If we’re serious about accessibility, there should be proper incentives to retain this service: zero-rated VAT on vehicles, guaranteed road access, and policies that actually support - not undermine - wheelchair-accessible transport.
@MayorofLondon@metpoliceuk I saw some young girls from Madrid being ripped off by your lovely rickshaw riders he was trying to charge them £25 per person for a five minute ride this needs to stop your failing London
@taximanant How many of those interviewed actually work there ? How many people did they ask ? It’s easy to edit the news report to show a bias in favour
