@squarednation_ this ending genuinely changed my life, i cried the first time cuz vโs friends had left v behind, i cried the second time cuz in the end v has left me behind, and its time for both of us to live our lives instead of being stuck in a phantom liberty
@geckowo@__twinkbreaker my buddy and i once joked about what if fnv was made to have rdr2 level of polish and detail, afterwards we ended up crying in each other's arms because it will never come true
@Nymixil speaking of shit they should add but never will, they should add a live stock market where you can check and trade whenever you want like in cruelty squad, i dont even want any actual profit from it, it'll just be funny af to have
@wheatlyftw the discouraging part isnt trying to do puzzles or sekgen contracts with pvp present, or dinner bells, the discouraging part is unable to afford supplies to continue, forced to use unfamiliar loadouts, no other options than keep trying/failing or stop playing
@wheatlyftw and the result is instead of launching a trail blazer in the genre like they hoped, they launched a sweatier than arc raiders extraction shooter, which is good I love it, but incomplete for their ambition and the games longevity
@Thrt_lvlAutumn i totally understand where you are coming from, and it would 100% be cool. but this change is more about building upon something thats established in the game, too many switcharoos then people can feel lied to, and harder to form impressions and personal attachments to their guns
@PascalAmpertail i love the PvP focused โbr with extra stepsโ direction we have rn and indeed to make it better we only need to lower the barrier for entry. but come on, the futuristic setting, the anomaly, the wasteland, the mystery, its perfect for bigger map survival stuff and im all for it
dinner bells shouldnt just reward loot, they can be power weapons, invis shields, walking tads, unconditional instant exfil, teleportation, crazy shit like that, when players win them, they determine how the run goes, instead of just faction upgrades or loadout for the next game
i think we should give in run events more impact than just dinner bells. there should be events that create win conditions, raise stakes for good players, and raise floors for bad players, that gives or playing the game in general more purpose than just loot and quest.
Hey everyone, Del here.
Last week we had a great time talking about the upcoming PvE and experimental PvP modes for Symbiosis in December. We want to be clear, Extraction is still a major part of Marathon, and we're also going to continue updating it as we look to the future of the game.
We'd love to hear from you on what you're enjoying about Extraction today, what you think needs work, and what you wish was there.
