The Village and the Oak Park Police Department have announced plans for a candlelight vigil and funeral services for Detective Allan Reddins, who was killed in the line of duty Nov. 29. The community candlelight vigil will take place this Friday, Dec. 6, marking one week since Det. Reddins’ tragic death. The vigil will begin at approximately 5:30 p.m. in the courtyard at Village Hall, 123 Madison St. A visitation will take place from 1 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Leak & Sons Funeral Home in Chicago followed by funeral services on Thursday, Dec. 12 at 11 a.m. at Apostolic Church of God in Chicago’s Woodlawn neighborhood.
