@LongmaGames You can do it. And assuming GOD is your Father, there is nothing you can’t accomplish through relationship with Him. Making games is more like a romance than a job. Find it as a romance with GOD. Looking forward to seeing what you do!
@LongmaGames I legit sat in my chair with laptop and brackeys tutorial up and cried and said, God I don’t want to do this it hurts. But I can feel your Words resonating through me to do this.
@LongmaGames You know, to be honest, 💻/coding has always scared me, and so has being successful and highly competent in any particular skill. It took GOD saying “start making games.” With the understanding of do it tomorrow and do what I’ve been showing you to do.
I mean, I still have interest in the Gamedev stuff, it's just a matter of motivation, soulsearching and commitment. And I still have writings and comments from awhile ago that continue to inspire me, or at least nudge this slumbering dragon inside. -o-;
#gamedev#motivation
@DanReut Of course I also have the big courses I paid for awhile back, namely Thomas Brush's #fulltimegamedev and David Wehle's #gamedevunlocked. I got PLENTY of material to work with! 😅
I know, I haven't been active here lately. I just lost motivation for gamedev and I don't know if it'll return. (I still have my ideas for Equis and my Mon game just in case. And just now I'm thinking I might try again with the FTGD or GDU course! Hope I do it this time!)
@Deebeegeek26 It would be awesome to see you experience all the Mario RPGs if you make that a series! They're so fun and wacky and some good ways to immerse yourself in the Mario universe like none of the others do!
@thomasbrushdev Next is a Wolfenstein clone where you take down Grammar Nazis, as a response to everyone who picks out the misplaced apostrophe. 😅
(But really I've been wanting a game like that for awhile!) 😅
@ThomasMayhugh3@thomasbrushdev Similar story here, except it was for writing.
. . . Since then my inspiration (for games or writing) has only stretched as far as jotting notes down and merely dipping my toe in dev programs. Still figuring out myself I guess. . .
