The road is only wide enough for one car, so you’ve instructed the oncoming car to come through even though it’s technically your right of way. They’ve accepted your courteousness and here they come, driving towards you. Any second now they’ll give you a little wave. Or maybe they’ll just lift a finger from the steering wheel. Perhaps they’ll give you a full palm, or a simple nod, or the most confident show of appreciation: a quick flash of the lights. It doesn’t really matter, as long as they do something. They’re leaving it a bit last minute, aren’t they? At this rate they’ll be past you before they’ve even… NOTHING!!! THEY DID NOTHING!!! Didn’t even look at you! Just stared straight ahead! The audacity. Well, that’s the day ruined.
