The last three dinner parties I’ve been at in SF, with completely non-political people, have all at some point descended into everyone exclaiming some version of “so thankful for @DanielLurie”
San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie spoke after the fallout from the city’s newest supervisor resigning Thursday night, just a week after Lurie appointed her to the office. Questions about 29-year-old Beya Alcaraz's conduct as a small business owner quickly came under fire, forcing her to step down.
“Let me be clear on this: This is not the first time that I have gotten something wrong. It won’t be the last. But what I can commit to all of you and the people of San Francisco is that I’m going to learn from this, and that I’m going to grow,” Lurie said at a press conference on Friday. San Francisco voted for change. @DanielLurie is not only doing a good job, he's approachable and is generally a nice person. London Breed did not give off that same vibe. That's the way it goes.
Tonight Mayor .@DanielLurie gave an address at City Hall to celebrate the closing of Black History Month.
What most people didn't see, is that moments prior, a senior had fainted on the steps of City Hall. Mayor Lurie came to her aid, stayed by her side, holding her hand.
He stayed on the floor, not moving an inch, until the paramedics arrived, and she thankfully recovered.
It's these moments, when the cameras aren't rolling, that make me inspired to serve alongside our Mayor. And proud to be a San Franciscan.
Big thanks to @RefuseRefuseSF and everyone who came out this Saturday morning to help make our city cleaner. This is just one of the many ways to get involved and do your part for our community.
San Francisco will open up a new outdoor triage center this week near the beleaguered Sixth Street corridor to crack down on the illicit drug market and make better use of limited staff and resources. https://t.co/8Ga5VNIMIA
Today, our team at @SF_DPH@zsfgcare welcomed Mayor-elect @DanielLurie and showed him the transformative and innovative programs and services there that are serving people experiencing substance use disorder, behavioral health emergencies, or people seeking everyday care – we are meeting people where they are. #weareSFDPH
I witnessed the hope of everyday San Franciscans over the course of our campaign. Now, we must come together to turn hope into results on public safety, affordability, and a City Hall that works for the people.

Lurie will declare Fentanyl State of Emergency Day One S.F. Mayor-elect Lurie probably won’t take salary, has ‘serious disagreements’ with Trump

What an incredible day here in San Francisco, meeting with residents and voters all over the City. I look forward to serving each of you as your mayor.
I woke up this morning optimistic about San Francisco. I think @DanielLurie is going to be a really good, if not great, mayor and steer San Francisco in the right direction. I've met with him numerous times to talk about the drug crisis, open drug markets, and recovery housing.
Congratulations @DanielLurie looking forward to working together to bring an atmosphere of recovery back to San Francisco! The Ambassador of Recovery 30 years serving the recovery community!
