Since we don’t have proper protected bicycle infrastructure in DC, people think it’s ok to park in bike lanes. Here is an example of the direct and absolutely terrifying result of stopping in the bike lane. @DDOTDC @DCGovernment @DCCarViolence @dc311

@mynetsecaccount @DDOTDC @DCGovernment @DCCarViolence @dc311 A protected lane would have stopped the car from blocking the bike lane, then we wouldn’t have been forced to merge into the road and the conflict would have been avoided. This is the result of parking in the bike lane weather you want to recognize it or not.
