⚡️Just moments before a massive Israeli airstrike, the heroic Palestinian Civil Defense teams race against time to evacuate civilians from a neighborhood in Gaza City.

With the occassional Israeli occupation 'warnings' arriving only minutes before impact, families are thrown into chaos as children, the elderly, and the injured struggle to flee. Many are left behind as strikes begin to fall. Journalist Wadeaa Abu Souood was on the ground documenting every second of the frantic effort.

Didn't want to post about this till I got permission. That young couple who were cruelly killed by a hit and run driver were my nextdoor neighbours for over a decade. I still can't get my head around those beautiful and caring people and their 2 great kids now orphaned. I spoke to their inconsolable family at the vigil. Their hearts and minds are destroyed. Their friends and our neighbours devastated.

We will miss you both, thanks for being so kind to my Mam and me. Yous were 1 in a million. We can't do anything to help poor Georgina or Anto now, but we can try and raise a few bob for their children. Please donate if you can.

Crowds have turned out to the funeral of a woman in Carlow, following a social media appeal made by an undertaker.

Mary Regan died in the care of Hillview Nursing Home last Friday, and had no next of kin.

Funeral Director Rory Healy asked people to turn out for her funeral mass, so she ‘gets a farewell from her adopted town of Carlow by the people of Carlow’.
