Watching #FightingEndometriosis on BBC Two was hard to sit through as someone living with endometriosis. Seeing so many of us in similar situations brought so much grief and anger. @Emmabarnett did an absolutely brilliant job highlighting the realities. #FightingEndometriosis
No cure for endometriosis. No proper management for menopause. No adequate symptomatic relief for menstrual discomfort. But let’s get handicapped sperm a wheelchair to make not so healthy babies because it would make men feel strong.
It's becoming increasingly clear every single day that the way to stop the rise of the right in this country is to join the Green Party.
It's also the way to invest in our communities, lower our bills and protect our planet.

Chronic illness teaches you how to operate at “fine enough.”
Not well.
Not healthy.
Just functional enough to get through the day.
From the outside, that often gets mistaken for being okay.
And that misunderstanding affects how people respond to us.
If someone with a chronic illness leaves a holiday gathering early, please don’t ask them to explain why.
And please don’t guilt them into staying.
Leaving early usually means they noticed warning signs or can no longer handle the situation.
It means they’re trying to prevent a crash.
It means they’re trying to protect the days that are to follow.
The kind thing to do is to let them leave without any pressure.
People think you’re “choosing” what to do in a day with chronic illness.
They don’t understand you’re budgeting energy like money.
If you shower, maybe you can’t cook.
If you run errands, maybe you can’t socialize.
If you work today, tomorrow you might be bed-bound.
One medical exam can mean a flare for a week.
If you push once. You pay twice.
Every action has a cost that no one else can see.
we have diseases like pcos, fibromyalgia, endometriosis which significantly reduces a woman’s quality of life w no treatment and women are told to just deal w it but yes let’s cure male patterned baldness
“My friend has that, and she’s fine”
Disability and chronic illnesses are on a spectrum. Something that completely disabled one person could only slightly inconvenience others. Some people are worse than others, and that’s okay. Assuming we’re all the same isn’t.
The lady at the charity shop today told me that she wishes people would clear out their children's old toys in the lead up to Christmas rather than after because she always sees a number of parents in the days before Christmas looking for toys for their little ones who might be strapped for cash. She said there's very rarely anything in just before, but that they get inundated with toys in the days after.
And it really made me think about it in a way I never would have before.
If you know your child is going to get lots of presents from Father Christmas this year, by clearing out your cupboards a few days early, you could make another child's Christmas a lot more special too.
Saw this & thought I'd repost.
This video is so good for so many reasons - but for one in particular:
It repeatedly challenges the bogus arguments that the billionaire-media churn out to brainwash people into believing taxing wealth is impossible.
We WILL make the super rich pay.
When Starmer says it’s “Labour or Farage,” remember: you don’t have to choose between fascism and billions on weapons that destroy lives, create tiny amounts of jobs, and enrich those in the Epstein files.

3% more and this Labour Government need to worry more about the left - than the right.
Lower bills. Protect the NHS. Nationalise our public services.
This is how we start to turn our country around.

People want lower rents. They want cheaper bills and publicly-owned services. They want an NHS that works.
Why can’t this government just do things that would actually improve people’s lives?
We can fix this country. We just need the political will.
“Let’s call it for what it is: bullshit. The truth is, politicians have talked about little else but immigration for decades and in the most dehumanising ways.
Polanski added: “Stop the boats’ is all we hear. Well, today I'm saying ‘stop the bullshit’.”
