A British writer penned the best description of Donald Trump I’ve ever read:

“Why do some British people not like Donald Trump?”

A few things spring to mind. Trump lacks certain qualities which the British traditionally esteem. For instance, he has no class, no charm, no coolness, no credibility, no compassion, no wit, no warmth, no wisdom, no subtlety, no sensitivity, no self-awareness, no humility, no honour and no grace – all qualities, funnily enough, with which his predecessor Mr. Obama was generously blessed. So for us, the stark contrast does rather throw Trump’s limitations into embarrassingly sharp relief.

Plus, we like a laugh. And while Trump may be laughable, he has never once said anything wry, witty or even faintly amusing – not once, ever. I don’t say that rhetorically, I mean it quite literally: not once, not ever. And that fact is particularly disturbing to the British sensibility – for us, to lack humour is almost inhuman. But with Trump, it’s a fact. He doesn’t even seem to understand what a joke is – his idea of a joke is a crass comment, an illiterate insult, a casual act of cruelty.

Trump is a troll. And like all trolls, he is never funny and he never laughs; he only crows or jeers. And scarily, he doesn’t just talk in crude, witless insults – he actually thinks in them. His mind is a simple bot-like algorithm of petty prejudices and knee-jerk nastiness.

There is never any under-layer of irony, complexity, nuance or depth. It’s all surface. Some Americans might see this as refreshingly upfront. Well, we don’t. We see it as having no inner world, no soul. And in Britain we traditionally side with David, not Goliath. All our heroes are plucky underdogs: Robin Hood, Dick Whittington, Oliver Twist. Trump is neither plucky, nor an underdog. He is the exact opposite of that. He’s not even a spoiled rich-boy, or a greedy fat-cat. He’s more a fat white slug. A Jabba the Hutt of privilege.

And worse, he is that most unforgivable of all things to the British: a bully. That is, except when he is among bullies; then he suddenly transforms into a snivelling sidekick instead. There are unspoken rules to this stuff – the Queensberry rules of basic decency – and he breaks them all. He punches downwards – which a gentleman should, would, could never do – and every blow he aims is below the belt. He particularly likes to kick the vulnerable or voiceless – and he kicks them when they are down.

So the fact that a significant minority – perhaps a third – of Americans look at what he does, listen to what he says, and then think ‘Yeah, he seems like my kind of guy’ is a matter of some confusion and no little distress to British people, given that:

• Americans are supposed to be nicer than us, and mostly are.

• You don’t need a particularly keen eye for detail to spot a few flaws in the man.

This last point is what especially confuses and dismays British people, and many other people too; his faults seem pretty bloody hard to miss. After all, it’s impossible to read a single tweet, or hear him speak a sentence or two, without staring deep into the abyss. He turns being artless into an art form; he is a Picasso of pettiness; a Shakespeare of shit. His faults are fractal: even his flaws have flaws, and so on ad infinitum.

God knows there have always been stupid people in the world, and plenty of nasty people too. But rarely has stupidity been so nasty, or nastiness so stupid. He makes Nixon look trustworthy and George W look smart. In fact, if Frankenstein decided to make a monster assembled entirely from human flaws – he would make a Trump.

And a remorseful Doctor Frankenstein would clutch out big clumpfuls of hair and scream in anguish: ‘My God… what… have… I… created?' If being a twat was a TV show, Trump would be the boxed set.”

🚨BREAKING: In Danbury, Connecticut, multiple ICE agents have a man pinned to the ground… and instead of handcuffing him… they stepped on him, beat him, and then TASED him… causing him to have a SEIZURE.

In the video, the man is pulled from a car and is face down on the pavement, with his feet still inside the vehicle.

There are MULTIPLE agents on top of him.

He does not appear to be actively fighting back, punching, kicking at the agents, attacking anyone, or trying to flee.

He is simply lying on the ground.

One agent is seen stepping on the man, with his full weight, and repeatedly bouncing on him, before appearing to kick him in the face.

Then, while an agent is kneeling on the man’s back, he pulls out his taser and points it at him… as another agent walks around the car, with a second taser, and tases him.

The agents pull the man’s arms behind his back and handcuff him… as the man has a seizure.

And let’s be clear about what happened…

Refusing to put your hands behind your back is NOT the same thing as actively fighting law enforcement.

And ICE’s own use-of-force policy specifically categorizes electronic control weapons, like tasers, as a higher level of force than basic physical control techniques.

Its policy says intermediate force may be used only when there is no reasonably effective, safe, feasible alternative available.

And a taser is NOT supposed to be used as a punishment for someone who isn’t complying with an order.

The purpose of force is to gain control of a situation… not to punish someone for refusing to comply.

So, when MULTIPLE agents already have a man physically surrounded and pinned down, and he isn’t actively attacking them, or attempting to escape…

Why was an ELECTRICAL WEAPON necessary?

Being difficult to handcuff does not give federal agents permission to use whatever force they want.

Especially when that force can cause seizures and other serious medical complications.

Which is why accountability matters.

Because when armed, masked federal agents believe there will be no consequences for using excessive force, there is nothing stopping the next encounter from becoming even worse.

The Constitution doesn’t disappear because someone is being detained by ICE.

ICE agents are not above the law.

I'm getting a Costco membership even though I don't need one. My friend had Stage 4 cancer. Costco kept her employed for 2 years after her diagnosis manageable shifts, just so she'd keep her health benefits, which were excellent. She passed away recently. Costco is now covering a full year of COBRA premiums for her 3 sons.

Costco retained DEI under pressure in 2025 with 98% of shareholders backing them, and offers starting wages at $20/hr. Pulling all Callaway? Just icing on the cake.

Woodsedge Church in Spring, TX is a large church on a 65-acre campus. For the last 2-3 years, Matthew Goldston has been volunteering in the children’s ministry at Woodsedge Church.

On July 7th 2016 Goldston was arrested in a prostitution sting in Pasadena, TX. Reportedly, he has since paid to have this expunged from his record, which is why it allegedly does not pull up on a general background check. When volunteering to work at the church with children, members are to mark if you have been arrested or not. He allegedly marked “no” knowing that he had this expunged, and it would not show up on his record. 

The arrest has been verified by a detective (included in screenshot below). I am told that Matthew Goldston is currently under investigation for possession of child sexual abuse images. The criminal case has been moved from Montgomery County to Harris County. Parents in the church have not been informed. The church refuses to make a statement.

🚨BREAKING: In Danbury, Connecticut, an ICE agent was filmed pointing a taser DIRECTLY at the head of a man who was already lying on the ground… with his hands zip-tied behind his back.

In the video, the man is pinned to the ground, his hands are restrained, he isn’t visibly resisting, and an armed federal agent has a taser pointed at his HEAD.

At the same time, the agent tells another agent he needs to help with another person, who is already being restrained by multiple agents… and is literally just sitting on the ground.

The person filming says, “They aren’t even resisting.”

The agents go to put the men in a car, when another agent tells the person filming to “get the fuck back.”

He says, “Alright,” and starts WALKING AWAY.

But the agent follows him, saying…

“Keep going.”

“I’m leaving.”

“Keep going.”

“Don’t you see me walking away?… But you keep following me like I’m not walking away.”

You have the right to record law enforcement officers performing their duties in public, as long as you aren’t actually interfering with what they’re doing.

Walking away, while filming, is not interference.

The Fourth Amendment also protects people from unreasonable seizures and excessive force.

And when someone is already restrained, lying on the ground, and not visibly resisting… pointing a Taser at their HEAD raises some very serious questions about excessive force.

So, when the people with the guns, badges, and federal authority start acting like constitutional rights are optional, who exactly is supposed to hold them accountable?

Because “I’m leaving” should have been the end of that interaction.

And having a man lying on the ground, with his hands zip-tied behind his back, should’ve been the end of the use of force.

And THAT is why people need to keep filming.

Because accountability will never happen without evidence.
