The older I get, the more I realize how much of your life is shaped by the stories you tell yourself. I’m not ready. I’m too late. I’m bad at this. I never follow through. Be careful. You believe what you repeatedly rehearse. Tell better stories. Then prove them through action.
The EFF motion to scrap 100% municipal debt for indigent households was passed yesterday in the City of Tshwane. But as usual, when it comes to EFF victories, South African media goes on leave…
#ThankYouEFF ♥️
It’s because South Africa is the only country that transparently publishes its statistics, many other countries hide or misrepresents their data. Take Nigerian stats as an example, they claim to have low hiv rates yet they didn’t even have an ambulance to transport Anthony Joshua and his friends to a hospital.
You might get robbed once in a while😩🫣 but there's no way Pretoria is top 2 in the world when there's cities like Chicago, Lagos and Atlanta in the world🥀🥀
Every year the MYSOL Foundation empowers hundreds of high achieving students from disadvantaged backgrounds by giving them access to higher education. Through the visionary leadership of its chairman Solly Soka, the foundation covers full tuition fees, provides accommodation, monthly meal allowances and even equips students with the necessary gadgets(laptops and phones) to support them throughout their university journey. At a time when so many black university students are struggling to stay in school due to financial hardship, MYSOL continues to stand as a beacon of hope turning dreams into degrees and restoring the dignity of our young people.
Vincent Kompany was once asked which person, living or dead, he would want to spend a day with.
His answer was Nelson Mandela, followed by a powerful truth:
“His crime was being Black.”
I am not surprised to see people in here judging others' intelligence/contributions based on their location, mocking Nigeria, India, and other African nations.
These are the same mindsets that tortured and killed brilliant souls likeSteve Biko, Mahlangu, and so many others, for no crime but existing in their own skin.
Racists will always be racists. They will never change. It is in their nature to be vile.
I am proud to be Black.
I am proud of where I come from. I am a brilliant human being, and I will never stop doing what I do best here, not despite being Black and African, but because of it.
You will never break me.
By some level of delusion Gayton McKenzie seems to think he got into Cabinet due to merit or a strong electoral performance.
He is in Cabinet because of political compromises and because he needs to airbrush his past - McKenzie uses government to wash away the stench of criminality, sadly South Africa is the water where the filth of his lack of rehabilitation rests.
The Patriotic Alliance got 2.06% of the vote in 2024, compared to the EFF’s 9.52%. Was there no Maths in prison?
To say Malema “can’t get into government” while he is, and therefore Malema can’t call for his removal is delusion and a poor grasp of the constitutional concept of accountability.
Again what does this have to do with him accounting for his hateful remarks about black people and concessions to sexual violence?
Gayton is in cabinet because the word “No” was not in his vocabulary when offered a Cabinet post. It was in the vocabulary of Julius Malema because he is not in politics to wash away his sins or set up a Ponzi scheme.
Ends.
