You can see Corenswets take on Clark Was vastly different (and better imo) in his screen test. Clearly a more calm & collected Clark Kent reminiscent of reeves, routh, & cavills previous portrayals.

Much like your example You can see Gunns fingerprints all over it in the finished product. From the screaming dialogue to the goofy perm. It’s definitely NOT what corenswet had in mind.

The superman who looks at Lex and sees the best in him, the great man he should be and sees that man and tells him to his face what an incredible person he is, and what he could be doing for the world and he still believes underneath it all that man is still there waiting to come out.

The real Kal-El who sees the very best in everyone he meets and tries everything he knows to try and show them how he sees this in themselves as well.

Tantrum clark is an insult to the audience and to the character.

And worse, it shows me that Gunn not only doesn't know who Superman is, he doesn't know who Kal-El is.
