“Modern audience” is code for those who spend more time on their overpriced phones getting offended by everything and expect family members with real jobs to pay off their $10000 student loan they spent on a gender studies degree.
"We're gonna update this timeless classic for a modern audience."
Has it ever occurred to you that maybe that timeless classic is timeless for a reason?
@Just_WLW@AvengersUpdated@grok How much of a loser do you have to be to ask an AI as opposed to doing you doing your own research by oh I don’t know, watching the damn movies and paying the fuck attention instead of checking your bloody phone every 10 seconds?
We need to stop lowering the standards for the sake of propping up dumb kids. When smart, hard-working kids see that even the dumbest kids get passing grades while doing the bare minimum, all that tells them is there's no reward for effort, and then they do the bare minimum too.
🙊Carney apologists are denying that he ever said he would get a deal better than CUSMA. Here’s Carney in Question Period on October 8, 2025.
🥇🥇🥇He promised a better deal not once, not twice, but three times. This is the day after returning from his second meeting with Trump with nothing.
🧙As Y.F. Blanchet put it, “The great negotiator coming back into the country with his tail between his legs. When will he stun us? When will he impress us?”
🇨🇦Carney could also take his own advice on who is best suited to build Canada. The private sector!
Doesn't subversion and "deconstruction" ever get old? The subversions of some tropes are now more common than the tropes they're subverting, to the point that it would be more groundbreaking to play the trope straight without winking at the audience.
You can see Corenswets take on Clark Was vastly different (and better imo) in his screen test. Clearly a more calm & collected Clark Kent reminiscent of reeves, routh, & cavills previous portrayals.
Much like your example You can see Gunns fingerprints all over it in the finished product. From the screaming dialogue to the goofy perm. It’s definitely NOT what corenswet had in mind.
This scene is a disaster
This was where Superman should have shown up
No tantrum, not lecture. The superman who looks at Lex and sees the best in him, the great man he should be and sees that man and tells him to his face what an incredible person he is, and what he could be doing for the world and he still believes underneath it all that man is still there waiting to come out.
that would have saved this movie
The real Kal-El who sees the very best in everyone he meets and tries everything he knows to try and show them how he sees this in themselves as well.
Tantrum clark is an insult to the audience and to the character.
And worse, it shows me that Gunn not only doesn't know who Superman is, he doesn't know who Kal-El is.
And the most idiotic take goes to this jackass. I don’t miss being young, I miss being able to emotionally connect with great stories that resonate with me forever. The fact that we’ve lowered our standards and accepted mediocrity upsets me.
