@alexstyl This is really good to ensure you aren’t limiting your options. There is value in building things for the audience you’ve already grown in terms of your followers, helps new things grow quicker. Guess there’s value in both.
@joreilly Very good point, interesting… I prefer that to a fully CMP UI for sure. Guess you decide based on the design you want and based on the situation. Nice to have different options!
@hamen@JorgeCastilloPr Also, AppCode was better in terms of the code editor and refactoring. You still needed Xcode for project management stuff and SwiftUI worked much better there, so I think the fact you couldn’t just use a single IDE also made many not pay for it as well.
@hamen@JorgeCastilloPr I’m not saying it has to be free to be used. I’m saying the fact it was a paid tool versus the IDE provided and talked about in all iOS dev information from Apple meant it was tough competition for AppCode and likely why not enough people discovered it.
@hamen@JorgeCastilloPr I mean that’s a difficult thing, AppCode was great but it wasn’t free but Xcode is so always going to be a tough sell for many people.
@JorgeCastilloPr@joreilly Not a huge amount. I’ve seen a few mentions. I mean it’s Kotlin so the push is going to tend towards the Android side I guess.
