@TiedWithASwiftE@stealmycurly And i’m entitled to think ur kinda thinking too much about it its kinda just like a cheeky comment about how fun it is to debrief a friend hangout with ur partner. Hopefully you find love soon so you know what that feels like :)
@TiedWithASwiftE@stealmycurly She said dinner was at 7 not that he’s picking her up at 7. Also if hes picking her up from dinner why does it matter… are the friends obligated to take her home? Does she HAVE to drive home? Like damn its strict asf around here
@fymrae Seems a little bit on the nose to say “oh :(“ to an intentionally sad plotpoint thats like…. The point of the entire movie?
Its like screenshotting rue in euphoria doing drugs and being like “oh :(“ like baby thats the show 😭😭😭
rue murió peleada con su mejor amiga de la infancia y el único amor de su vida, no volvió a ver a su mamá, o a su mejor amigo o a su hermana y al final nadie le tuvo respeto a su muerte o a ella como persona
Or maybe she just worked hard for an education and shes pointing out how the caliber of her work doesn’t match the knowledge she worked hard to achieve & is probably in debt for? And would likely be debt-free with a higher paying job that requires knowledge she possesses?
these sentiments implying that certain jobs are beneath you based on your education level contributes to the hierarchy of labor corps use to justify underpaying everyone in service, retail, and hospitality jobs
+ i don’t think retail & service workers should be underpaid by any means. Its just like… your education level directly correlates to your base pay because your knowledge allows you to perform higher-paying jobs? Like yes my doctor deserves higher pay because of the schooling
