The United States says: “Come invest here! Build factories! Create jobs! Help our Rust Belt come back to life!”

So Chinese companies listen. They come. They build. Take Fuyao Glass in Ohio: they bought an old, empty GM plant, turned it into the biggest auto glass factory in the world, hired more than 3,000 local American workers, and now supply big names like Ford and GM. They even hold about 30% of the U.S. market.

Success, right? Jobs. Taxes. Growth.

But then the story changes.

Some American companies start losing sales. Instead of saying “We need to improve our factory, train better, work smarter,” they point fingers and shout:

“Those Chinese companies are cheating! They get secret help from their government! They pay workers unfairly! They are destroying us from the inside!”

Politicians join in. “National security danger!” they cry. Raids happen. Investigations start. Some even say: “We want that factory to belong to Americans again.”

Wait a minute…

You invited them. You wanted their money and jobs. They came, worked hard, and won fair and square in the market.

Now that they are winning, you call it unfair?

That’s not competition.
That’s jealousy dressed up as patriotism.

If you really want strong American manufacturing, stop blaming the guest who cooks a better meal — and start learning how to cook better yourself.
