Class 1 HGV Driver, Motorcyclist, E Bike Rider, EV Car. (not for Eco reasons and not a "climate" womble and will block any Climate cultists who respond).
@DPJHodges The only thing this shows is that Burnham was the only guaranteed way of getting rid of Starmer when he refused to resign after the local election disaster and the voters took the quickest way to achieve that aim. Starmer will be gone soon then roll on the 2029 elections.
@TracyBrabin@DavidLammy Stop messing with peoples lives. You've got no mandate for this sort of intrusion. If people who live together want the same rights as married people they'd get married or enter in to a civil partnership. You just can't resist sticking your noses where they don't belong can you?
@DavidLammy If I wanted the same "rights" as a married person I'd get married. The point is, I don't. If marriage was actually attractive as an institution I might consider it but it isn't. It's all negative as far as I can see especially regarding divorcing (which, lets face it is common).
@JeevunSandher Giving people a couple of pounds back on something is not worth a damn when the cost of living has never been higher, taxes at the highest in decades and you fools think this is a flex. Sort the mad energy prices out, lower taxes, stop wasting money on vanity projects. Do you job
@Ed_Miliband They don't have much choice do they if they want to try and protect themselves from your mad energy policies that are guaranteed to drive energy prices forever higher and higher due to your obsession with very expensive net zero nonsense. Most people can't afford to do it though.
@DavidLammy You wombles only won because the Tory vote collapsed not because of your policies or campaigning. All you had to do was show up, that's it. You had 14 years in opposition and you came to the government with no real plan. Just mistake after mistake. Utterly clueless.
@Boenau If they were all on motorcycles nobody would be calling for (or getting) anything at all since nobody in transport planning or policy making gives a toss about them.
@McrGreenParty Workers deserve higher income tax thresholds. It benefits the lower paid more and you lot never talk about that, just this arbitrary ยฃ15 ph nonsense that you've plucked out of thin air with no costings. Higher minimum wage with frozen tax thresholds means more tax paid.
@PhilipProudfoot Pro Tip, maybe spend some time talking about how low income tax thresholds are instead of waffling about a minimum wage increase that would mean more tax paid. How about no tax on minimum wage instead? or at the very least raising it to where it should be by now if not frozen.
@Heccles94 They'd be better off if the Labour & Tory governments didn't freeze the personal tax allowance for years while raising all other taxes to the roof and having stupid energy policy that makes everything in life more expensive in the first place.
@SamJRushworth Ah yes, definately the words of someone without the spine to stand up against what's clearly a stupid idea. Whipping Labour MP's to vote against an investigation in to the person doing the whipping was a huge mistake. It screams "Guilty" without the tedium of having to prove it.
@PreetKGillMP While families struggle with rising bills...... Labour will tax them harder. Can't wait for the budget. Here's a prediction, Reeves will raise taxes....again and Labour's energy policy is worse than the Tories, Both parties are climate ideologues. Blown your one electoral shot.
@CarolineLucas I note you're not at all bothered by the blatant profiteering the government does to the public via extortionate taxation on fuel. Also demanding a windfall tax on companies already paying a windfall tax of 78% is just laughable but then again the Greens are a party of clowns.
@mwt2008@easylec Sorry but 20deg is not in the slightest "toasty". I didn't mention your heart pump so no idea why you included me in your reply. Try answering my question first.
@dignityindying Bad legislation should not be passed. Make all the little posters and poll stats you like, It doesn't change bad law in to good law and you know that. The bill was garbage (as you well know). You may have a point but this deserved proper airtight legislation and that isn't it.
@JeremyVineOn5 Local authorties should not be allowed to ignore the national guidelines on setting speed limits or distort the meaning of the road traffic management act 2004 when setting limits but they do, all the time. Limits should go back to being set on the old 85th percentile rules.
@E7Drew@JeremyVineOn5 Utter crap. The DfT already has guidelines on setting speed limits nationally, Authorities are supposed to follow them. The problem is, they don't, they ignore them because they abuse the fact they are guidelines not rules. Change that and the DfT would in fact be setting limits.
