Just done my research, and as far as it goes, SpaceX has no competition in price/kg for datacenters in space.
Rocket Lab's newest rocket, Neutron, is expected to launch for the first time no sooner than Q4 2026 and is targeting a price of $3500 to $4500 per kg to LEO.
Based on the estimates of the Starcloud’s CEO, he argues the breakeven price might be around $500/kg, while the public opinion is even more skeptical, with suggestions nearing $200/kg.
On the contrary, Elon Musk's long-term aspiration is $10/kg. This is not realistic at least as a mid-term view, yet the price could be set at $100–200/kg.
This would make $SPCX the next $NVDA of space compute.
@Hugoleftisright@EU_Commission So you think people are just going to steal the money or what?!
People will buy 20-year-old cars instead that don't even have airbags!
