@DrFrankTurek Good point... and don't forget Paul. If you read only the account of Paul you come away believing Jesus "returned" more like how God appeared in human form in the old testament (for instance, to Abraham... or Jacob). The question is whether it matters? ๐๐
@DrFrankTurek What happens if a Christian applies "rules of logic" to 1st-5th century history of the faith, then goes back to read the Bible again "for the first time"? ๐ค Be careful what you ask for. ๐
@CatholicDrip___ ..... soooooo he gave that to Peter, but where does it even imply that he was responsible for passing that key to another individual??.... and where does it suggest that "keyholder" would ever be based out of Rome? Does it say it continues after the church was built by Peter?๐ค
@FiorilloRalph@UcheMaryOkoli and I'm just getting started. I did my own research (I'm a data analyst).
God of the old testament is creator of all, and Jesus is the SON of God (his Father) who was sent by his father, and who was/is the promised Messiah the Father promised to send. Question everything else.
@FiorilloRalph@UcheMaryOkoli What?... Constantine built statues to Sol Invictus right up until he died. Have you read the "Constantine Creed"? Why were Jews who believed in Jesus not allowed at council meetings?... etc, etc. What were the rules to determine books of NT?... Does Hebrews qualify?
@DrFrankTurek Preaching fear rather than the peace found through desire to be righteous.... and on the other end of the spectrum is the perverted "love gospel" which is shallow and completely misaligned with actual hardships of life we are exposed to for a purpose.
@Roger_Negan OK, but is it safe to assume you believe THIS is an appropriate director of health? If so, you could be both right and equally as misguided as those you are poking at..... Don't throw rocks from your glass house.
@MasterMaliq Why would he "send" himself? How was he "begotten"? Why did Jesus pray to himself? Why did he give himself all authority in heaven and on earth?..... soooo many questions. ;)
@UcheMaryOkoli Who's the heretic?
Ephesians 3:17
Galatians 2:20
Romans 8:10
2 Corinthians 13:5
Jesus lives in our hearts always.... Not in a piece of deeply meaningful symbolic bread intended to be a ritual in order to insure we always remember him, and what he did for the "whole world".
@becomelikemind@DrFrankTurek If a man is assigned to guard a castle, but someone outsmarts him and sneaks in..... Was the man guarding as commanded? ๐ค Was Adam told to guard, or told he would be held accountable for anyone who outsmarted him? For Adam to be held accountable would be not to be on guard.
