Small traders take note!

Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announces an increase in the customs benchmark value from Kes 2.5 Million to Kes 3.2 Million per consolidated 40-foot container effective Aug 20th, 2026.

"Where the actual value of the goods exceeds the benchmark, importers are required to make accurate declarations & the goods will be subjected to the applicable customs valuation & tariff treatment".

The customs benchmark refers to the minimum reference value assigned to containerised consolidated cargo to calculate import taxes.

@EACinvestor @Kuradul @ChengriChengri1 I did own share account transfer. And paid kes 200 only. Check with CDSC or the broker where you want to transfer your shares. Make sure you let them know it's Own share transfer. Other types of transfer might attract the fees being mentioned here.

@ChengriChengri1 Yes. It's the same concept. Just open an account with your preferred broker (Your CDSC no. will remain the same) Then go to your current broker they give you "The Securities Transfer Form" (CDS 4(A) + CDS 4(B) let them fill and sign. Then take it to your new broker.
