An equity investment portfolio is like a bar of soap; the more you touch it, the smaller it gets.
A few notes from the Kenya Airways H1 2026 earnings brief: capacity remained the main constraint, with three Boeing 787s grounded for significant periods, even as revenue rose 9% to KES 81.25B and cargo revenue increased 18% to KES 8.77B. Higher fuel and maintenance costs pushed operating expenses up 14% to KES 91.90B, widening the net loss to KES 16.08B from KES 12.15B.
Management expects capacity to improve in H2 as aircraft return to service while also growing cargo, MRO, and training revenues. The balance sheet remains the key challenge, with recapitalisation, deleveraging, and the search for a strategic investor central to the turnaround.
Dear Microsoft, when I hit the Windows Start menu key and start typing a word to autocomplete a search, I never, ever, EVER want it to return results of something not on my computer. Ever. Like, ever, ever, never.
FC Sabah have won the Champions League title 15 times less than Real Madrid, 6 times less than Liverpool, 3 times less than Manchester United but astonishingly they have won the same amount of times as Arsenal Football Club.
Small traders take note!
Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announces an increase in the customs benchmark value from Kes 2.5 Million to Kes 3.2 Million per consolidated 40-foot container effective Aug 20th, 2026.
"Where the actual value of the goods exceeds the benchmark, importers are required to make accurate declarations & the goods will be subjected to the applicable customs valuation & tariff treatment".
The customs benchmark refers to the minimum reference value assigned to containerised consolidated cargo to calculate import taxes.
If you want a 101 on Cargo Consolidation & how this change comes about, see quoted thread I did in May 2023.

@EACinvestor@Kuradul@ChengriChengri1 I did own share account transfer. And paid kes 200 only. Check with CDSC or the broker where you want to transfer your shares. Make sure you let them know it's Own share transfer. Other types of transfer might attract the fees being mentioned here.
@ChengriChengri1 Yes. It's the same concept. Just open an account with your preferred broker (Your CDSC no. will remain the same) Then go to your current broker they give you "The Securities Transfer Form" (CDS 4(A) + CDS 4(B) let them fill and sign. Then take it to your new broker.
