Have seen some posts from Chinese accounts that like to point out how the Philippines is so dangerous cuz Chinese people would get kidnapped and murdered. Some using a racial angle implying that Filipinos target Chinese people.

I get it. It’s the easy assumption for many Chinese to see the Philippines as dangerous, full of prostitutes (false btw) and full of monkeys. The SCS really brings out a lot of ignorance on both sides.

The truth is that most of these kidnapping and murder stories really just end up being committed by Chinese criminals on PH soil.
