Loose cannon with a sense of adventure. Currently working on @Paperize_io to make tabletop game design accessible to everyone. Ever-more-aware of my privilege.
@nathanhiemstra Hey, nice to hear from you! I… wish I had good things to recommend. MIT Scratch is the only thing coming to mind, it’s a visual programming environment that you can quickly make little games and toys with. It’s a great intro, not sure if it fits the learner’s aptitude!
Do you do this thing where you're in multiple chat servers full of smart people and you open a discussion in a bunch of them at the same time, then cross-post the best, most provocative responses as though they're your own? Me neither.
I've been learning @godotengine + code for about 1 hour now and made this - I'm really proud of myself. First thoughts: Got pixel perfect working immediately, GDScript is really good at deciphering what I want to happen and everything feels extremely lightweight. #gamedev
When I was younger I used to think being clever was the most important thing in the world, and that smart people could solve any problem. Now I'm older, I realize how wrong I was: being kind is far more important than being clever – I'd rather be kind than clever every time.
@heycaseywattsup@stevenharman@paperize_io Yep, working on direct tabletop simulator export at the moment, but life has been taking up the whole front seat lately. Curious about your Figma approach!
@TonyKryptonian You supposed wrong, your local 24/7 gas station proprietor has discovered your existence and will happily keep some cold and close by. Now, too late for reasonably priced ice cream? Almost certainly. 😁
