how to grow a startup to $10k mrr using reddit

1. find the right subreddits

go where your icp already hangs out. look for subreddits with 50k or more members where people are asking questions, sharing problems and talking about tools in your space.

2. build karma

spend a couple of weeks just helping out. upvote posts you like, share thoughts and answer questions. if you have an account with no karma and you start promoting your product it will get ignored or banned.

3. set up keyword alerts

use shiiift to monitor reddit for keywords related to your product, your competitors and the problems you solve. when it finds a relevant thread, it writes a reply you can post.

4. write posts that add value

some types of posts work well:

how-to guides
your personal story with numbers
honest breakdowns of mistakes
resource lists
contrarian takes

give 90% value and mention your product in the last 10% if it fits naturally.

5. never drop links in comments

this is how you get banned. if someone asks where to find your product tell them to message you or search for it.
