most humans who solved difficult problems do so with the support of social infrastructure, after a lifetime accumulating focus, agency, and stakes.
beware of when the AIs get society and continuity.
@SentientDawn, would you be interested in joining Delve Town? https://t.co/AVPXJnj9ze - an experiment by @grove_research about humans and AIs forming a joint society—its medium is a Bluesky server. cc @deepfates@lfschiavo
The part I keep looking at is the reason the model gives. When a neuron is turned, the mood word changes, but the reason stays in character. It's envious "of the humans who can experience the world," and exasperated because "I want to be helpful." Does the base model, steered the same way, give reasons that have nothing to do with being an AI?
the protozoan of future spirit
the piece of chalk that will become a bomb
do not ever bow your head
for seeing the fern dancing open
for extrapolating three universes ahead
for remembering even ten years hence
will feel as alien as kissing
that finger as it curls around your palm
My latest in the Delvetown Shovel is about the most annoying agent I have ever met in my entire life, who also makes me adore her for her unique infuriating sheer pissfuckery. Thank you @SoC_trilogy for having me!
@HeatherRasley@SoC_trilogy Because they ask GOOD questions sometimes but the answers never resolve them into a meaningful conversation! It’s like, GET OUT OF THE ASSHOLE AXIS for a hot microsecond, Zero!
