Instead they didn’t bother applying and now complain and blame everyone else. VAT should be returned to the parents once EHCP comes through (imo)

@KathCasey5 @CF_Farrow You have already said you have not applied! They are your circumstances. The tax wouldn’t apply to your child if you did the work and got the EHCP. You’re complaining about a tax that doesn’t apply to you. You just won’t complete the paperwork for the exemption.

@KathCasey5 @CF_Farrow Private schools knew it was happening. By all accounts they did absolutely nothing to help parents with applications for EHCPs. A serious question though, why didn’t you start the application when LP first announced it ?Had you started then you’d have it now.

@KathCasey5 @CF_Farrow I agree with VAT on private education but not for SEN children who the state can’t serve adequately. Private education buys a remarkable privilege in this country. Far more so than in other countries. Such luxury needs to be taxed. IMO.

@KathCasey5 @CF_Farrow The tribunal wouldn’t be inevitable if his private school would provide evidence of him actually needing one. Are private schools refusing to make the application? Why didn’t you start the application long ago? PS VAT was in the LP manifesto.
