Getting emotional about the community Tad and I have around us that are so willing to help in a crisis 😭
Now I would love if we could stop having crises for awhile lol
Of course our church welcomes red heads. We just expect them to dye their hair blonde in order to volunteer or become full members. But that doesn't mean we don't love red heads. Love the head, hate the red.
No idea why this is on my timeline but I will reiterate that I took absolutely NOTHING but prenatals while pregnant with my “special needs” child and I was on 3 different psych meds while pregnant with my child who is outpacing her milestones
why is there actually, legitimately, discourse around reading speed right now “8 hours to read a book is slow” “you should be able to read a book in 3-5 hours”
bro we are in a literacy CRISIS, i do not care how fast or slow you read a book, just pick one up and read it
I just did this with my autistic 5 year old and he said “Well, I don’t know, but I can go downstairs and get Sally a new marble.”
I don’t know how to interpret that result lol
i was explaining the sally-anne test to my eldest:
sally has a marble
she puts it in a basket
sally walks out of the room
anne moves the marble to the box
sally comes back
where will sally look for the marble?
and before i could finish, the 4yo says "the box!". the 10yo says, "no the basket!" and i laughed bc the ages lined up with expectations
I hung out with these kids and tbh every one of them I can think of is just quietly working a low paying retail or manufacturing job now, which tbf is a lot better way to turn out than some of the other people I grew up with 😬
Facebook is for sharing pictures of your family with distant relatives,
And also it’s for being sad about how people you used to know aren’t very nice any more
I’m pretty sure my kids gave me flu A but I really don’t have time for that so I’m pretending I feel just fine while conspicuously staying away from people and using an ungodly amount of hand sanitizer 😭
