Once a journo, but now a MA: Medieval Studies student hoping to become a real Medievalist. He/Him, Leftish, #BLM, #Ukraine, Star Wars, LOTR, 12th century.
@cardinalrlburke Chapter 7 of the Rule of St Benedict: “Divine Scripture calls out to us brothers saying, ‘Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted’.” In your pride you told others the vaccine was evil. I pray that you recover and heed God’s message.
Hey @Mango, one of your customers must be bitterly disappointed as Evri mistakenly delivered their parcel to me. I’ve tried to contact Evri to pass it to your customer, but they are no help. Perhaps you can help your customer? Word of advice though, don’t use Evri for deliveries
Hey @elonmusk, just so we’re clear, I’ll asking the EU Commission about the legality of these arbitrary restrictions. In the meantime, word of advice, don’t be a poes. On second thought, it may be too late for that. In the meantime, good to see you hanging with other knobs.
Hey @O2, is this the real reason why I’ve been unable to get signal for two years now? Because the council blocked the new tower? Why could you not say this instead of bullshitting myself and everybody else in Exeter for the last two years?

@DerLydia Honestly, that’s fine and there’s nothing wrong with that. I never actually attacked Afrikaans as a language. I was addressing what Theron had said and I made the point that it’s unfortunate that it has always been attached to politics from the beginning. Not the language’s fault
1.) Finally read up on #CharlizeTheron’s comments on Afrikaans. The thing is, having grown up in Pretoria myself, I would say her opinion is not an uncommon one. Many of my Afrikaans peers and friends harboured the same opinion, if only privately, and I think…
@Charlot40731317 I love you to pieces. I really do. But 🤦🏻♂️😉😊 Either way, it’s still better than being led by Boris Johnson or Jacob Zuma. At least with Musk, we know that money is decidedly *not* the motivation here.
@Charlot40731317 I know we disagree on this and i’m only criticising him. My personal opinion is that his success at Tesla and SpaceX has gone to his head and he drank the Kool-Aid. If you or I attempted the same businesses practises, we’d be toast.
@Charlot40731317 You can’t fire half your workforce and then scramble to rehire many of them when you find out they were actually critical to product design, including the stuff he’s trying to push through. It says, I have no idea what I’m doing. This is not a small-scale start-up.
@Charlot40731317 No, he really doesn’t. The one company that came through is Tesla, but SpaceX? Subsidised. The Boring Company? No product. Neuralink? No product. The dude is all hype. This is not an issue of micro-managing. He literally doesn’t have a plan and is making it up as he goes along.
@Charlot40731317 Dude, a burning house is exciting. That doesn’t make it good. This platform will not survive. I’m not saying that as some sort of shill, but observe Musk’s business practices, especially here, and it’s like he’s purposely trying to burn it all down. Would you work for him?
@Charlot40731317@2frost2furious@cpt_depression_@dramadelinquent@elonmusk Yes and no. What I would say is that, like the schools it is based on here in England, specifically Harrow and it’s great rival Eton, that environment can encourage the worst in young boys and men. I mean, just look at Twitter and the arrogance that is burning it to the ground.
