I stayed silent until now. I gave @msrachelforlitt the benefit of the doubt because she claims to “care about children.” But after seeing her justify the forced hijab on little girls, I am furious. I am absolutely disgusted.

I was one of those children. I never chose the hijab. It was forced on me, and it stole my childhood.
I watched other kids run free while I baked in the heat, suffocating under fabric that restricted every move.
I dreamed of skating with the wind in my hair, of playing without limits, of simply looking like every other child.

Those little girls today are not choosing anything. They are being robbed of their freedom, their joy, and their innocence, all so adults can push a political agenda.

@msrachelforlitt, do you even grasp the misery you’re defending? Do you understand the pain of a child who just wants to feel the sun on her skin and live without chains?
Shame on you.
Shame on you for twisting abuse into “choice.”
