As The BMJ celebrates 10 years since the launch of its patient and public partnership strategy, we ask why more medical journals do not have a similar partnership with patients.
This #BMJInfographic shows four ways to encourage patients to get involved

A quarter of respondents to our survey said that the Gvt should prioritise developing a strategy for social care, alongside a costed plan. It is crucial that the new Gvt takes action, to ensure that patients in social care get the support they need
@Skinnock@wesstreeting
Good health should be a priority in all Gvt policies. Our research shows 7 out of 10 patients support this view. Health is influenced by factors like education, housing, environment, transportation, and employment. #HealthPolicy#SocialDeterminantsOfHealth https://t.co/O16vfugMv0

Let's not confine celebrating co-production to just a week. Let's aim for a healthcare system where co-production is the standard, promotes an environment where everyone feels valued and included, and encourages transparency, and accountability.

We are passionate about improving diagnosis for people impacted by #GBS, #CIDP, #MMN and other conditions. Our members have reported lots of issues around diagnosis, which is why we are supporting the @NVTweeting vision for improving patient experience - https://t.co/IWAdtOngMU
NRAS is delighted to have contributed to this great work by National Voices. Early diagnosis is so important and can not only reduce patients' suffering but reduce long term implications for the health service, the UK workforce, the economy etc. etc. Far too many wait too long
@ridhaarem How I look when I’ve educated my Doctor and heading towards optimal thyroid blood results and healthy BMI taking Liothyronine and Amour and now able to use my patient experience to voice how poor my treatment has been for 30 years ❤️
@Tretchikoff1@SandayLinda@Bianco_Lab For people who can’t produce their own T3 that is awful and discriminatory. We did not choose this disability. Allowing it to continue and not treat symptoms and blood results is negligence.
