"The rain is worse than the cold."
That favourite British pastime of talking about the weather takes on a very different meaning when the people you're talking to have no choice but to sleep rough in midwinter gales and seemingly endless torrential rain @Peter_StPets
It's snowing in #exeter right now and we're worried about some of our clients who are still sleeping rough.

Great news! We're expanding our GP outreach to people experiencing homelessness with an additional session at Plymouth's Devonport House. Huge thanks to @ICSOneDevon@NHSNEWDevonWest for supporting @adandstlevangp@salvationarmyuk Do you know the right doctor for the job?
i am not against calls for professional registration and regulation of NHS managers. But in so so many recent scandals (includling the Letby case) the "managers" where nurses, midwives and doctors. And professional regulation and registration did not prevent the problems
Great to see this on prompt for ED staff @LeedsHospitals@PathwayUK@SaferLeeds
A great way to remember Duty to Refer and how to consider homelessness in the department
I've completed this as well- it makes no sense and will only result in more people experiencing the harms of homelessness- and the system having to face increased costs #inclusionhealth
Clock Tower GP’s presenting their multiagency rapid access to depo buprenorphine pilot this Thursday 🙂 Also looking forward to hearing DPT/Clock Tower psychiatrist professor Burns talk on ADHD in people experiencing homelessness
In Finland, the number of homeless people has fallen sharply. The reason: The country applies a “Housing First” concept. Those affected by homelessness receive a small apartment and counselling – without any preconditions. And: This policy is cheaper than accepting homelessness.
@Nyrs_Emma Did healthcare specific LLM @CardiffLaw and focused heavily on mental health, consent, negligence so I’ve found it useful teaching nurses/ACP also reports for negligence cases. Also adds understanding of everyday accountability
