Pope Leo XIV’s latest pick: an El Salvador–born advocate for immigrants as bishop of Wheeling-Charleston, West Virginia.

The choice reinforces the pope’s message on immigration: that new arrivals, when welcomed and integrated, can strengthen their new home.

It’s part of a broader pattern with three of Pope Leo’s first four US bishop appointments born outside the country.

We’ve seen our politicians dehumanize an entire population of people in Gaza, Iran, and Lebanon.

We are witnessing a Holocaust and genocide of an entire people.

I will never stop speaking out.

It’s wrong and it’s evil to murder innocent human life.

Don’t allow a false theology and loyalty to an atheist nation called “Israel” to cause you to excuse grave evil.

Murder is wrong. You should speak out against it.

Any nation claiming to be “God’s people” while killing innocent human beings is not only not God’s people, but they are enemies of the Lord.
