Rant alert.

Whatever sympathy I had left for Savannah Guthrie is GONE after she threw the true crime community under the bus this morning.

So here are a few observations about statements she's made that don't get.

👉 8/1/26; message on IG:

"If you are following this story for entertainment or for profit, you are not on her side - you are part of the harm perpetrated against her."

👉 3/27/26; interview with Hoda:

"A person that would send a fake ransom note really has to look deeply at themselves"

👉 6/11/26; Police report from when Criminal Network was arrested & what Savannah said to the officers when she had Alex arrested:

"Ms. Guthrie was extremely upset that Mr. Zabel was back in front of her mother's residence. Over the last couple of months she has expressed to me her displeasure about what has been going on with these vloggers and has on multiple occasions told me that she fears for her and her family's safety with some of the actions that they have been taking. On todays date, Ms. Guthrie was unaware of what Mr. Zabel was doing or saying on the live stream but his mere presence was upsetting to her."

Yet........

👉 07/27/26; video on IG by Savannah that was "specifically" directed to the person/people who KIDNAPPED AND KILLED HER OWN DAMN MOTHER:

"The world can be a cruel and unforgiving place & I know you have tried to do things the right way."

"For all of us, no matter where we've been or what we've done, I believe there is always a way home"

"Make the right choice"

👉 And at NO TIME in the last 6 months have the Guthrie family showed any frustration with Nanos or Pima County for the way they've completely botched this case.

🚨 So my question is....why are we talking shit about the people keeping Nancy's name out there and criticizing people that sent fake ransom notes (I get it but they had nothing to do with the crime itself) yet we're talking all nice, sweet, and compassionate to the people responsible for the ACTUAL crime itself with ZERO anger towards the person in charge who has botched the entire case from DAY 1?

🚩 Because the Guthrie family wants this to go away.

That's why.

They aren't looking for porch guy. They want the information on where to find Nancy's remains but not the spotlight. And that's all pretty damn ironic considering she's national media.

👉 Would she walk away from a story like this?

Not a chance in hell 🚫
