I would like to thank all those who have prayed for me in recent days. I wish to express my particular gratitude to the doctors, nurses and all the staff of the Gemelli Hospital. This experience has made me feel particularly close to all those who are living with illness or infirmity. Now that I have overcome this delicate phase I will gradually resume my activities, always with God’s help and your prayers.
The gentle and kind journalist Hassan Esslayeh (Aslih), a voice for the poor and the invisible, was assassinated by the occupation Zionist entity Israel in the early hours of the morning. The occupation state bombed Nasser Hospital, deliberately targeting Hassan while he was asleep in a hospital bed receiving treatment. In this 2020 report, you can hear Hassan in his own words, describing how he carried the burden of sudden fame because it enabled him to listen to the worries of those no one hears. A tireless journalist since 2009, he documented Gaza's daily reality despite suffering from a rare chronic illness. Hassan Esslayeh is now one of 215 journalists killed by Israel in Gaza since October 7th, 2023.

Israel assassinated you, Hassan.
They murdered you in your hospital bed defenseless, in your sleep.
They killed you after you survived an Israeli attack, after you had already endured so much.
They killed you because your voice was too loud… too powerful.
Eid Mubarak.
Today, our thoughts are with the people of Palestine, Sudan, and Congo, who are once again enduring Eid amidst the horrors of genocide, war, and persecution.

The devastation in Jabalia refugee camp is overwhelming. Relentless Israeli airstrikes have killed hundreds of Palestinians, including children, with entire families erased. Civilians, trapped under the rubble, have no safe place to go.
University of California Davis just divested from Israel. The BDS bills prevents the university’s 20 million budget from being invested on companies complicit in the occupation and genocide.
Alf mabrook and amazing work to @SJPatUCD
