If you see a propagandist telling you that the impeachment is a waste of time amidst oil price hikes struggles, tell them this: at least TWO BILLION pesos is alleged to have passed thru the Dutertes. That’s roughly 69,000 years worth of monthly income for the average Filipino family. Corruption, plunder, and betrayal of public trust is a crisis.
A plastic bottle does not disappear without a trace. It transforms into micro and nanoplastics. Research shows how plastic particles become part of natural processes. What does this mean for our health and the future of ecosystems?

Broken spirits living in a broken country made by a very broken government. And come elections, the corrupt will wield their power again to regain their position. And the sadder thing is, hindi makakilos ang mga mamamayan kasi hawak ng mga magnanakaw ang batas. We have a history of broken-ness and half of it began when political fandoms were created, supporting the future and welfare of politicians than the hope and welfare of the country.
I support no other political color than the colors of my country....I think the SD camp is avoiding it because they know (as we all do), that justice and the law can be manipulated in the country by those in power. However, the more they avoid it, the more it appears they have something to hide. Isn't it strange that these two from the beginning of their campaign presented themselves to have a "unified" front?
Panay pa travel ng mga yan -- our tax money is funding their styled life, cars, education ng anak, magagarang damit, pang-grocery, etc. etc. At sila pa nagmamalaki. BAKIT? Kasi hawak nila ang batas. We are prisoners of our own government.
And that's just one of them. Can you imagine how much is pocketed by the others -- both big and small, executive and employee? We are surrounded by thieves and the nation still allows them to reign supreme, expand their business ventures here -- and abroad (off shore accounts, land abroad). Ginagatasan na tayo...or maybe let me put it harshly -- ginagahasa na na nila ang bayan, buhay at pag-asa ng Pilipinas -- and some people still think they are ok and worthy of holding position (try living in the Philippines and braving the traffic, making ends meet, finding money to buy milk, or eat canned tuna and egg everyday just to save). NOPE the corrupt do not care. I find it hard to believe they do, because if they did -- why are we still in this rut of shit of a country that is always in perpetual start up while the supposed "public servants" ride their SUVs, wear the nicest suits/barongs, eat in the most expensive places and enjoy glorification? Kalahati daw ng malas sa buhay ng isang tao, kagagawan niya...kaya sana huwag lang hanggang usap-usapan -- we should put this government in its place (which will be like wrestling with the devil) because they hold the law, control justice and manipulate the narrative.
Showbiz can be a thankless job. One day you're the biggest loveteam, then next, you're not. You have to save, save, save, watch your finances (esp taxes). I think sinabi rin ni Ashley na during the pandemic di siya sanay na wala siyang nabibigay. It has been conditioned by their circumstances pero as you said nasanay na nga. But I believe, as Ashley said too, the only constant thing in life is "change". It is possible, if it means opening a new chapter in happiness and fulfillment -- when a "bigger" part of her life will come.
Lahat ng horror stories ng gobyerno, naging content (nalang). Hanggang usap-usapan (nalang). How can one even make the first step of presenting proof of their corruption when the people who are stealing hold the law and control justice. We are slaves of this government (well, not all). Yung iba, madali palang maka-alis sa Portugal or kung saan man --- the sad truth is NO ONE wants to waste his/her life in this scenario.
BIR, for instance. You think there are reforms? They're still giving bloated assessments, and hinting on settlements.
I would probably understand long-standing hardship but the bigger fishes who are already used to a privileged lifestyle are enablers and dangle corruption to the poor (do this, and solve your problems fast and quick). BIR employees easily become rich by agreeing to the kickbacks shared by a bureau. Initially, it helps solve the long-hardship. Sa katagalan hindi na sila hirap, may 10 bahay na (this is from a source who has neighbor who works for BIR), may SUVs na...hindi na long-standing hardship yan. At katagalan, sanay na sa lifestyle that corruption allows.. They have vacations, expensive acquisitions, etc. AND they do not care if businesses close down. Corruption lives in its own bubble. They can pray in Church couldn't care less. Paano nga ba magdasal ang mga corrupt?
True...and one of the tourist draws are also the people. The charm, the friendliness and welcoming spirit --- and the "gold buzzing" talent are a plenty. It is a country rich in tradition (which sometimes needs to be guided). If you look at the amount of taxes the government gets, and extorts, manghihinayang ka. I think the "survival" mode is what's keeping us from actively rising against these government criminals -- masyado nang malaki. Bukod sa pag-aari ng lupain, business investments, they also own people (followers who partonize them to survive and to benefit from their corruption). May nepo-grandchild ako na naka-message noon who is now a big CEO who says he is not proud of a political grandfather's legacy -- pero ang yaman na nila. Established and living in his own bubble like all corrupt and wealthy Filipinos do. Some of the workers I speak with (and everyone na kamustahin ang mga manggagawa: waiters, sales clerks and low-ranking employees what they dream of). We are so fragmented by political colors we forgot to see the real colors that matter: The colors of Hope and Opportunity for real hardworking Pinoys. The next set of elected officials are crucial, but it will be one of the most manipulated, controlled elections in our history.
AGREE!!! When I have the time, I ask many young people and workers how life is for them: sales clerks, waiters, nurses, etc. They have one sentiment. They want to leave: "wala nang mangyayari dito." And yet we see the same faces and names in the elections running again, rigging elections, brainwashing people. Nakakapagod at nakakaubos na talaga.
