You prayed for a responsible husband.
You said you wanted a man who works, provides, stays faithful, protects his home and does not run away from responsibility.
Then you married one. But somewhere along the line, you quietly added another requirement.
He must also agree with you whenever you are upset.
Now every disagreement becomes evidence that he does not love you.
Every boundary becomes "control."
Every time he refuses to be manipulated by tears, silence or public embarrassment, suddenly he is "emotionally unavailable."
Be very careful.
You can destroy a good marriage trying to turn a good man into an obedient man.
A husband is not automatically wrong because your feelings are hurt. Sometimes your feelings are simply reacting to a boundary you do not like.
And if peace in your marriage only exists when you get your way, that is control with soft music playing in the background.
Audit yourself before you turn a disagreement into a character assassination.
A mature woman does not need to win every argument to know she is loved.
10. There is no need to panic
about age when it comes to marriage.
There is someone out there who will match my energy completely. And if not, I would rather live my life wholeheartedly, enjoy every single day of it, and check myself into a good old people's home when
In this life, sha, don’t let anybody rush you.
At 33, with a first-class degree, I was still sleeping on my parents’ couch in Ebute Metta, trying to figure life out.
I didn’t get my dream job until I was 36. I got married at 35 and started married life in a room and parlour tiny rooms in Mushin.
I started a business at 38 and failed woefully.
I tried again in my 40s. Failed again.
At 46, I opened an art gallery at Adeniran Ogunsanya, Lagos. It failed too.
At 47, I returned to the yoghurt business. Failed again.
At 48, we started again.
Then, at almost 50, I was compulsorily retired from my job.
Instead of seeing it as the end, I went fully into the yoghurt business.
I relocated to the UK at almost 52.
By 54, we had recorded over ₦2 billion in sales.
So please, be inspired by other people’s success, but never allow their success to put you under pressure.
Some people bloom at 25.
Some at 35.
Some at 50.
Some even later.
Your timeline is different.
Keep learning.
Keep trying.
Keep failing forward.
Keep moving.
You are not late. You are still writing your story.
Good evening.😊
Lol he’s not wrong. Even when I was making money selling shoes, I knew I wanted more.
I had to go through the painful process of quitting what was paying my bills at the time to pursue something bigger.
It was a risky gamble and it could have failed. But if you don’t take risks, you remove every possibility of winning.
The strongest teams aren't built on talent alone — they're built on trust, clarity, and psychological safety. Create an environment where people can do their best work.
The Home wrecker Limpopo Boy was trying to destroy this beautiful union of Kevin Shai & Matshidiso Matilda. Even if they sleep with her my brother, don't worry, she know's where home is. These damn home wreckers mxm. Stay strong & forgive her!
Dear anonymous lady, I would not simply tell you to “lower your standards.”
I would advise you to separate standards from preferences.
Character, kindness, shared values, emotional maturity, work ethic, financial responsibility and the ability to carry responsibility are standards.
“He must earn more than I do” is a preference.
It is not an illegitimate preference, but as your income rises, the number of men who satisfy it necessarily becomes smaller.
You are entitled to retain that preference, but you should understand the trade-off.
Income matters in marriage.
However, “earns more than me” is often a crude proxy for what you may truly need: stability, ambition, discipline, generosity, competence and compatible expectations about money and family life.
A man’s current salary is only one data point in what could become a life long partnership.
Is he diligent?
Does he manage money responsibly?
Does he have direction?
Can he celebrate your success without feeling diminished by it?
Will he carry his share of the family’s responsibilities?
Can you agree on the kind of home you want to build?
A man can earn more than you and still be a terrible husband.
Another can earn less and be secure, responsible, industrious and an excellent life partner.
But let me be equally honest: if you know that you would struggle to admire or respect a husband who earns less than you, do not marry one while pretending that it does not matter.
That would eventually be unfair to both of you.
Either reconsider the preference sincerely or accept that keeping it may mean a smaller pool and possibly a longer search.
The pattern I noticed is common in elite professional circles for a reason.
Career success and traditional pairing dynamics often pull in opposite directions.
You can have both, but it usually requires intentionality, earlier prioritisation of partnership, and realistic expectations about the market.
Ignoring the data does not make the data disappear.
Wishing you clarity, not just a husband.
(The right one is worth the wait but the clock is also real.)
Tinubu Govt has learnt a very import lesson..I believe they should NEVER have crossed swords with Cardinal Onaiyekan...A Fatal Mistake..heres why

The Pharisees read their Bibles.
They prayed. They fasted. They showed up at the temple, every time.
And their hearts were still far from God.
Doing all the right religious things doesn’t get you to Heaven. Knowing Jesus does.
It's sad that women's success is a threat to marriages.
544k couples, 29 countries: Separation is 36% more likely when women outearn their partners. The risk goes up further if they have children.
A woman's prosperity should be a source of pride, not relationship conflict.
