The ever changing criteria for NYC public school admissions especially in Middle School and High School is so stressful for NYC families.

Now taking away ALL screened middle school in D2 just doesn’t make sense. We easily could’ve had screened, zoned, and lottery schools

Lots of discrepancies in the @NYCSchools new data upload to MySchools. Number of past applicants decreased for all schools, but last year's applicants have proof there were more.
Did DOE change the way they count applicants (only those who did not match higher)? Need transparency

This might be it. It might be time for me and my family to move out of NYC. We just got our HS admissions lottery and group #. My child who has a 92.75 GPA, is in honors math, tests in the upper percentile of NY State exam will have a really hard time getting into a HS close 1/2
