PRESS RELEASE

OBIDIENT NINJAS’ RESPONSE TO IMF TAX AND VAT RECOMMENDATIONS AND REAFFIRMATION OF OUR “OKNOMICS” ALTERNATIVES.
The Obidient Ninjas notes the IMF’s renewed call for Nigeria to expand its revenue base through telecom taxes and VAT on fuel products. We maintain that such policy recommendations which further burden our people who are already facing severe economic pressure, are neither sustainable nor just; especially when packaged under the guise of fiscal stability.
A telecom tax will raise the cost of communication and digital access. VAT on fuel will escalate transport, food, and production costs across every sector. These measures risk deepening inflation and worsening living conditions for millions of our people who are already struggling with economic hardship initiated by this government.
We reiterate that Nigeria’s challenge is not low taxation, but weak governance, systemic leakages, and reckless public spending. Without addressing these structural failures, additional taxes will only extract more from our people without delivering meaningful development.
Our OKnomics, the OK economic framework championed by H.E. Peter Obi, offers a more credible path forward: cut leakages, not livelihoods; shift from consumption to production; implement transparent public finance; and strengthen targeted social protection to shield vulnerable households from policy shocks.
Our nation needs responsible leadership, not lackluster reforms and definitely not new taxes and VATs on struggling citizens. The Obidient Ninjas remain committed to advocating for people‑centred, transparent, and productivity‑driven economic policies that reflect the aspirations of Nigerians based on our shared values and commonwealth.
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- A new Nigeria is ever more POssible.

Dear beloved sports-loving Nigerian youths,
After watching the performances of Davido, Burna Boy, and Rema at the opening of the 2026 World Cup—at a time when Nigeria, the giant of Africa, is absent—I felt a measure of consolation. This was reinforced by the fact that many Nigerians playing for clubs worldwide are representing other countries. Felix Nmecha, for instance, set a record by scoring the fastest goal at six minutes for Germany. I write to you therefore, knowing that this country belongs to you, the youth.
You are more of stakeholders in Nigeria’s future than I am. I am 64 years old; by God’s grace, much of my journey is behind me, while yours lies ahead.
It is therefore imperative that you rise to the challenge by obtaining your PVC, your most powerful tool for driving the change you desire.
In the last three years alone, over 15 million Nigerians have turned 18—enough to decide who becomes President, Governor, Senator, Member of the House, or Local Government Chairman. Indeed, enough to shape the nation’s future.
I know many of you are sceptical about politics and political parties. I understand why, but scepticism must not become surrender.
You do not need to belong to any party or wait for anyone to organise you. Organise yourselves in your streets, campuses, communities, workplaces, churches, mosques, and social groups. Mobilise, debate, demand accountability, and take part in choosing those you wish to entrust with leadership.
If you are organised and wish to hear directly from me, invite me. I will come and share my plans for you and our nation.
Do not sit on the sidelines while others decide your future.
I appeal to you to register and vote. Your vote can shape who becomes the next President of our country.
My young friends, this is your country. Take it back.

Coping with the systematic collapse of our institutions.
When the controversy surrounding the removal of former Chief Justice of Nigeria, Walter Onnoghen, unfolded, I expressed a concern to a friend: that the greatest damage might not be immediate, but the message it sends about the sanctity and independence of our institutions to the world.
Strong economies are built on trust. Investors can manage security risks, policy risks, and even market risks. What they fear most is uncertainty in the rule of law and a judiciary that is perceived to be vulnerable to political pressure.
Today, many Nigerians have lost confidence in systems that should protect them. Businesses increasingly request that their contracts be governed by foreign jurisdictions because they have greater confidence in those institutions than in our own. That should concern every patriot.
We must never sacrifice our sacred institutions on the altar of politics. Nations rise when institutions are stronger than individuals. "The federal High Court Judgement ordering the de-registration of the ADC and other political parties is just one of those activities that further reduces the common man's trust in our legal systems" it should be reversed.
I pledge that we will restore the dignity, independence, and integrity of the Judiciary. The common man must have a voice. The business community must be protected from legal uncertainty and intimidation. Justice must be impartial, accessible, and respected by all.
To our judges, legal luminaries, senior advocates, and lawyers: this is your moment. Rise, defend the rule of law, take back your country!

Building a Healthier Nigeria Through Stronger Healthcare Systems
As part of our desire and commitment to building a healthier Nigeria, I met with some healthcare professionals and experts in the United States on Friday, June 5, 2026. The meeting was essentially to deepen my understanding of how successful health insurance systems deliver improved healthcare, especially in the areas of primary and emergency care.
One of our key health objectives remains unchanged: to expand health insurance coverage, strengthen primary healthcare across our electoral wards, train more healthcare workers, and make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all Nigerians.
A New Nigeria must be a healthier Nigeria.
A New Nigeria is possible. -PO

-Great communication skills
-Clarity of thoughts
-Precise understanding of the issues
- Facts, figures, the whole enchilada!
What more can you ask for in a global leader? It’s about time!

From today, I pledge my support to Arsenal. I'm officially a Gunner!❤️I love the attitude and composure of Arsenal fans. I don't see them online insulting their players. They are loyal to their team no matter the circumstances, that's a fanclub that aligns with my principles! Next season, we go harder! ❤️
After almost seven years at this club, it’s hard to put into words what this moment means to me.
I arrived at this club when I was 18 years old. Far from home, barely speaking the language, trying to adapt to a completely new culture, new life and chasing a dream that felt so big at the time.
I didn’t know exactly what the future would hold, but I knew I wanted to give everything for this club.
We didn’t just build a team, we built a family, an identity, and something the fans could believe in again. To see this club back where it belongs is one of the proudest moments of my career.
I want to thank my family, thank everyone at the club, the staff, my teammates, and every person working behind the scenes. Most importantly, thank you to the fans. Your support, patience and love throughout these years never went unnoticed. You stayed with us through the difficult moments, and this title belongs to you as much as anyone.
This club changed my life. I will always be grateful for the privilege of wearing this shirt.
