starting july, we’re officially counting down to haechan’s 10th debut anniversary, and we’re probably getting closer to hearing news about his contract. whatever decision he makes, i truly hope it’s the one that’s best for him and for his future as an artist 🥹
i just want haechan to know that no matter what happens, there will always be haefs standing by his side, supporting him every step of the way. and i’ll always support haechan and whatever path he chooses next 🩷
guys at the end of the day, just do whatever feels right to you. if you don’t want to support him anymore, then don’t. if you still want to support him, that’s okay too. you don’t need anyone else’s validation to make that choice.but for the people who supposedly can’t stand him+
to everyone who decided to leave,
i hope you know that no one can ever take away the love you gave.
whether you supported him for a year, five years, or almost a decade, those memories were real. the excitement you felt, the comfort he gave you, the friendships you built, and
"i've never liked him."
bitch, i love him.
that's exactly why this is hard. that's exactly why this is disappointing. and that's exactly why i want him held accountable now more than ever.
what's not fucking clicking?
love is supposed to challenge you to grow. it asks for accountability. it asks for compromise. "love is blind" is bullshit, because if you excuse everything someone does simply because you love them, you're not protecting them. you're helping them become the worst version of themselves.
sincerely loving a person does not mean protecting him in everything, but wanting him to be better, so that he does not bury himself deeper into the bad consequences. because I care about what happens to him next.
And Mark, No one else can apologize, explain, or take accountability on your behalf. You’re fully capable of making your own decisions, and with that comes the responsibility to face the consequences of those decisions. That’s something only you can do.
Right. People from different countries are exposed to different histories and educational systems, so it’s possible that some genuinely don’t know. But I also think there’s a difference between not knowing at first and refusing to learn after being corrected.
as sad as it sounds, i think a lot of people, esp non-americans, are genuinely unaware. basic ph education doesn’t really cover topics like this in depth. it’s not an excuse, but it does show why educating people and awareness matter.
No one is expected to know everything from the start, especially when access to education and conversations about these topics varies so much around the world. But once someone points out why a word or action is harmful, that’s where accountability comes in.
ang fucking weird talaga ng iba dito tangina ‘wag niyo nga binababy si mark, malapit na mag trenta ‘yan. the apology is not for us para tanggapin natin kasi hindi naman tayo ‘yung community na naano. 🤡
holding mark accountable doesn’t make you less of a fan.
yun din pala, calling out and holding these grown ass adults, no matter how you idolize them, should be a thing. they should know what they’re doing at their ripe age. in the first place, di naman sila ma-ccall out if they didn’t do anything wrong.
