You owe nobody an explanation for how you live your life, how you decide to treat your illnesses, how you handle your pain management + more. Being chronically ill, putting boundaries up is a necessity. Don’t answer questions you aren’t comfortable with! 💛🤟🏼
It's International Women's Day! @ehlersdanlosuk sends support to women living with EDS & HSD, women supporting children, partners,& families affected by these conditions, & women supporting our members through face-to-face or through crucial online support. 1/2
Sometimes as a chronically ill individual, my symptoms oftentimes makes me feel like I’m out of control of my own body. Symptoms + pain happens unexpectedly and on a whim quite often with no warning and it can be scary.
As someone who’s in chronic pain 24/7, I rarely mention my pain to my trusted people/loved ones in public unless it’s completely unbearable and I need to leave. Those of us in pain just don’t have the energy to deal with peoples ignorant responses when we admit we’re struggling.
@seetickets I booked tickets on Friday, no email confirmation and Paypal have taken the money, I have a transaction ID. Your contact form is not ideal if emails are not sending. Can you find the booking and associate it with my account? My paypal email is different to my main one
Even after years as chronically ill person, I'm shocked at how well I can hide my symptoms from other people. I feel myself smiling, hear the tone of my voice sounding normal while I'm feeling terrible and I'm still surprised at my ability to. I still don't know how we learn to.
