@ThomasWatsonCD@theJagmeetSingh Yes, but. I don't favour either side. It is true that when we reach a wall we too often says, "Well, that didn't work," and don't think about it further. I don't think that there was anything else to do, however, at that specific moment.
@EternalBlueSix @DennisKendel @CanLutheran So you're saying that the egregious conduct was minor and the perp should suffer no further consequences? Define "minor".
@RicharLisa@CDCgov So necessary to state and restate frequently. Thank you. I'm going to quibble with the "possibly" - this simply and fundamentally requires institutional cultural transformation โ a very big task.
โTheftโ
Death stumbles in the dark,
where goodnights stolen
by unspoken worries about managers and supervisors,
who donโt remember our names,
causing me to forget
to lock the front door,
only to hope a cat burglar
takes enough
that weโll have something
worth talking about.
@raymondchungkr @jess_e_mat @bechardmel@RobinMartinPC Excellent point, and I had trouble earlier establishing a context for the post to which I replied. Clearer now.
@DennisKendel Such an old bureaucratic ploy: "just work harder" said to embattled service providers; "just organize better", as if every attempt to squeeze out efficiencies hadn't already been made.
@KellyOB18@RicharLisa@Wikipedia Good continuation of the off-topic rant. I don't think I'm going to get anywhere with this. You know where to find me if you ever wish to exchange actual informationl
@JulieMDPanneton This is in the face of provincial and federal health authorities "strongly" recommending masks, but apparently the decision makers are not connecting the dots over how that works (or doesn't).
@RyanTouretto @steve_boots@DennisKendel Basic human nature unchanged, but unless it's just me being old and grumpy, something feels different. Social media I think is a big part of it.
@steve_boots@DennisKendel A discouraging time in history. Have humans changed, or is this part of a natural (horrible) cycle? Among other things: public embarrassment over obvious transgressions no longer deters people.
