One of my favourite ways to use AI now is to ask it to attack my idea.

Instead of: “Tell me why this is a great idea.”

Try: “Make the strongest possible case that I'm wrong.”

Then: “What evidence would change your conclusion?”

Then: “What am I probably not seeing?”

AI is very easy to turn into a cheerleader. It's much more useful as an intelligent opponent.

Don't just ask the machine to help you think.

Ask it to disagree.
