@MrsJMario @SeanMarathon262 I agree with you! I had a teacher stop by during her planning time to let me know one of my students used Social Intelligence when I was not around. I shared the conversation with the parent to reinforce positive feedback at school and home.
@SeanMarathon262 I think primary understands behavior expectations. Academic expectations, we list learning targets and discuss them but, they do not fully make the connection to their learning.
@SeanMarathon262 Always let them know we are working together as a team. Listen to what they have to say and be positive. Help by giving materials to use at home.
@EPS_Bobcats In the past, some of my students have used a piece of ribbon inside their desk to touch. Also, I encourage my students to walk away get a drink or move to a different part in the classroom.
@EPS_Bobcats I have one student who has a difficult time in math. She is easily embarrassed and afraid to make mistakes. I encourage with positive praise and when I high 5 her in front of the entire class, her smiled beamed like I have never seen before.
