The Consulate, in association with @APEDADOC, organized a vibrant Mango Festival at Global Mall today with enthusiastic participation including from state and county leaders, members of the consular corps, business leaders, prominent diaspora members, and exporters from India. Visitors enjoyed a wide range of premium Indian mango varieties and innovative mango-based recipes.
Consul General highlighted the deep cultural connection of mangoes with India, the diversity of Indian mango varieties and their many culinary uses. Consulate, in collaboration with the Gandhi Foundation USA – Atlanta Chapter, organized a curtain raiser event for the 12th International Day of Yoga at the iconic King Center, Atlanta.
Held at the Freedom Plaza of @TheKingCenter, a site associated with the enduring legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the event highlighted the shared values of peace, harmony, and well-being embodied by both yoga and Dr. King's vision.
The event highlighted this year's theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing,” and yoga’s benefits for physical health, mental well-being, and healthy living at every stage of life.
Participants enthusiastically joined the yoga session and celebrated the spirit of wellness ahead of the main International Day of Yoga 2026 celebrations, which will take place on June 21, 2026 at Gokuldham, Atlanta.

Consul General attended the Consular Corps luncheon hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Atlanta, which brought together members of the various diplomatic and international community in Atlanta.
During the panel discussion, Consul General shared insights on India’s rapid growth, innovation, and global engagement, and responded to questions on India’s economic transformation, technology ecosystem, and expanding international partnerships.

They also underscored how AI can transform community healthcare through customized, scalable solutions.

The Consulate, in partnership with @USIBC, @ficci_india & @atlchamber, convened a high-level roundtable on “Growing the Southern Gateway: Expanding Economic Ties Between Georgia and India.” Leaders from government, industry, academia & business engaged in a forward-looking discussion on collaboration across logistics, advanced manufacturing, technology & energy.
In his keynote remarks, the Consul General highlighted the depth and complementarities of the India–U.S. partnership, noting how the vision of Viksit Bharat can drive shared growth and mutual prosperity.
With the highest Indian investment into the U.S. at the regional level, a strong corporate presence, and world-class logistics and manufacturing strengths—particularly in aerospace, defence & automobiles, the Southeast is emerging as a key corridor for scaling trade, investment & resilient supply chains.

The Consul General released the book “Art of Conscious Living” authored by Dr. Selva Shunmugam Paramasivam at the Consulate, highlighting India’s rich legacy of holistic wellness and the global relevance of AYUSH systems. Dr. Selva, President of the Global Center for Siddha Medicine & Research, emphasized mindful living and the integration of traditional wisdom with modern science. Distinguished attendees included Dr. Barney S. Graham, Professor & Director of the Global Health Institute, and faculty from Morehouse School of Medicine (MSM).
Ms. Gabriela Seplovich, MS, MPH, a Ph.D. student at MSM, shared her experience during the 2nd elective course in India and spoke on the relevance of such books in AYUSH studies. MSM students will visit India under their fourth-year Siddha Medicine elective, inaugurated in 2022 in collaboration with MAHE, offering training in traditional Siddha medicine and complementary practices like diet and lifestyle.
Consul General visited the @universityofga and held meetings with the President Jere Moorehead, Provost Ben Ayers, and Deans. The discussions focused on strengthening academic and institutional collaboration, including opportunities for student and faculty exchanges, joint research initiatives, and furthering deeper engagement between Indian and U.S. educational institutions. The interaction underscored the shared commitment to advancing knowledge partnerships and expanding avenues for cooperation in higher education.
Consul General interacted with Patrick Blair, Vice President of Engineering; Ram Kancharla, Vice President – Planning & Development, Port Tampa Bay along with Anitha Kancharla, President, Indo-US Chamber of Commerce, gaining deeper insights into port operations.
CG also toured the port. CG was pleased to learn about the role of Indian manufacturing in supporting cruise infrastructure—highlighting the expanding India–U.S. bilateral trade. The port mobile telescopic bridges, manufactured by Pune-based Sparkline for FMT, is being installed at the cruise terminal.
