New paper! Interested in why to prescribe NSAIDs carefully in anticoagulated patients or how #realworlddata can be used to answer this question?

@waq0r For some context: I think, the decision was made following a request of disabled people questioning if their lives will be valued less in a triage situation compared with a 27 y football player with CoVID requiring intensive care who did not get the vaccine.
@waq0r@ajhatswell I like that explanation. Maybe the underlying ethical principles are what is driving these decisions. Maximising overall benefit or a patient centred making the right decision in that moment for that patient approach. I am a bit torn between the two though.
@jhan2qt@waq0r I still miss QALYs… would be nicer to have something comparable between indications and also comparable to other countries. Or maybe allow QALYs as well as other measures.
@jhan2qt@waq0r It’s not that black and white. QoL does count but not measured as QALYs. In Germany the joint federal committee accepts loads of other generic and disease specific measures of quality if life. Just not QALYs. We all know a QALY is not a QALY. This is one way to approach it.
Volunteers for super short survey needed! A friend is testing a pilot survey on lottery prices. It is only 8 questions short. Please, help him if you can spare 2 minutes !

If you are at #HTAi2021VirtualAM, make sure you check out my presentation on the use of RWE to assess the economic consequences of hazardous prescribing. Just search for Leonie or Penner in the gallery. Feedback highly appreciated! @HTAiOrg#patientsafety
@ChrisSampson87 @OHENews@Amanda_M_Cole @LotteSteuten @nadine_h22 @marghineri @PatCubi You seem pretty confident, but you missed at least one! There is a brilliant presentation on the economic impact of inappropriate prescribing of NSAIDs using RWE by me that you must have missed 😁
Stimulating podcast about health economics in patient safety and the role of digital technologies. Brilliant insights by my dear supervisor and manager @RachelElliott67
