UCLA let a couple linemen do a 1v1 rep at the end of camp. Of course they called up 6β7, 275 Max Prep Freshman All American Left Tackle @Xavier__Berry , and he didnβt disappoint. ππ

A teenage boy offered to clean my entire storm-damaged yard for just $40.
At first, I thought he was desperate.
Then I saw the injured dog beside him.
Seventeen-year-old Mason spent all day hauling broken branches in brutal heat without complaining once. Every twenty minutes, he stoppedβnot to rest, but to check on the stray dog heβd rescued the day before.
The dog had been hit by a car.
Broken leg.
Visible ribs.
Nowhere else to go.
When I asked Mason why he needed the money so badly, his voice cracked:
βIf I canβt pay for the surgery tonightβ¦ theyβll transfer him.β
Thatβs when I realized:
He wasnβt working for spending money.
He was trying to save a life.
By sunset, my yard was spotless.
I handed him $500.
He tried to refuse it because we had βagreed on forty.β
A kid willing to work himself to exhaustion for a dog he barely knew.
Not because he had to.
Because he chose to.
People say young people today are lazy or selfish.
Thatβs not what I saw.
I saw character.
Compassion.
Responsibility.
Sometimes, the richest people are the ones willing to give everything they have for someone who has nothing.

Dottie, a bottlenose dolphin who lived 39 years at SeaWorld, died this week without ever feeling the rhythm of the ocean, or the freedom she deserved.
SeaWorld describes Dottie as a devoted mother of four calves, but they separated her from every single one of them. That is not devotion, that is the reality of captivity, where profit determines family bonds.
Dottie was born into concrete tanks and died in them. She never experienced the open sea. She spent her life performing for tourists, not because it was natural or enriching, but because SeaWorld's business model depends on it.
SeaWorld positions itself as an institution rooted in marine science. They know, because the science is unambiguous, that cetaceans are highly intelligent, wide-ranging, socially complex animals. They know that no tank, however large, can meet the physical or psychological needs of a dolphin. And yet they continue their breeding program, ensuring that more animals like Dottie will be born into the same captive cycle, never knowing the life they were meant to live.
Dottie's story should not end with a tribute post. It should end with change.
SeaWorld must end its dolphin breeding program now. No more calves born into captivity. No more mothers separated from their young. No more lives defined by performance and concrete walls.
Dottie deserved better. The dolphins who come after her deserve better.

Micron just reached $1,000+/share.
In Oct. 2024 the Noble family estate, early Micron investors, donated $25 million to Boise State athletics. Micron was trading at $99/share at this time.
If the donation was made off a specific sale of Micron shares, then today it would be worth roughly $250 million.
Not exactly known if selling shares was the case or if the family already had cash on hand, or accumulated it from other ventures.
A couple things for certain:
- It does not dilute or takeaway how historic & generous the gift was by the Noble family made to BSU athletics. It is still the largest one-time gift ever made to the school.
- Micron has easily made many local investors into new multi-millionaires in just the last year alone. There is a fresh network of donors to potentially tap into, and the company is facing even more growth in the years to come with no signs of slowing down.
At just 13 years old, Alena Analeigh McQuarter made history as the youngest Black student ever accepted into a U.S. medical school.
Now 17, this brilliant young queen has already graduated high school at 12, earned a Masterβs degree, interned at NASA, founded The Brown STEM Girl to inspire other girls of color, and continues blazing trails in medicine and science.
Her journey is living proof that when purpose, discipline, and brilliance collide, nothing can hold you back not even age.
