@JoJoFromJerz No. When you maintain relationships, even with family, that are primarily transactional, the transaction tends to come first, and they don't really benefit by standing by him.
@_JordanVecchio Anyone who claims this doesn't scare them, has never run from fire or is full of shit.
This is terrifying. I've spent all day checkin in on loved ones, monitoring the fire, and helping my mom negotiate which way she can actually go to get out if ordered. Options are limited.
With about 15,000 people under evacuation orders and about 20,000 people under evacuation alerts, Premier Eby says accommodations and roads need to be kept open for evacuees.

@Madam2Sir@crimewithbobby Multiple times, & is now very close to very populated parts of the city. The landfill is on fire, which is terrible, as it's not far from the city, & embers are falling all over the place. Night is creeping in and there is always wind in the valley. It's gonna be a tense night.
Heartbroken that Toki (Lolita) died just as plans were coming together to move her back to the ocean where she belongsโafter 5 decades in captivity.
Shame on the Miami Seaquarium for imprisoning her, and on every person who paid money to see her suffer.

@KelownaNow Non-kelowna people prob think, oh the landfill, but the landfill is a hop skip and a jump from the city, with TONS of properties all around. And copies amounts of fuel. This is very scary.
@PLJinNewWest1@Okanaganscan It's not. Ash can go for ages, and there's plenty of wind. In 2003 when the fire took off on the other end of the city, it jumped huge distances which is in part how it spread so fast and was so devastating.
@DawnAlene64 This is gutwrenching. Very much reminds me of the 2003 fires. Praying for everyone, human and animal, tonight. I hope all your people are safe.
