@cvkrishnan I think as long as he ensures a largely corruption free and caste/community-wise nondiscriminating availability of Services to people in TN, he will remain highly popular.

[JOKE ONLY] I think there may be persons in TN who can't properly pronounce the letter 'ழ' in 'தமிழ்' and so the suggested name could gradually get morphed into 'மக்கள் சக்தி கலகம்' which may or may not turn out to be far sighted. 😏
@GopalanVs2 Do you know for a fact whether Sh Modi actually told KA not to leave? Before the Assy elections Sh Modi may have asked him just to wait till elections are over which KA did.
2/2 cudn't convince (over 18 mo) Delhi bosses that their strategy was bound to fail exactly as it did. BJP did not care to listen to his uncomfortable but sincere advice. Plus, he had gauged AIADMK leader's weakness. So in my vu it is wrong impute ungratefulness on his part.
1/2 @Zakka_Jacob Having watched KA's interviews in various TV chnls. I realised that he too (like me🙂) was a big votary of BJP to go it alone at a time much before CJV came on the scene as a politico. But "know all-s" in Delhi wanted to hold the skirt of AIDMK. KA said he 👇
Annamalai's new political chapter begins. What effect will it have on Tamil Nadu politics?
Watch the debate unfold on Editors Unplugged with @Zakka_Jacob, @shreyadhoundial, @madhavgk, and @roypranesh.

@bvlldhist_alt May be: You don't care to go out & vote staying in your comfort zone enjoying 'slogging' (=working hard). But slum dwellers, may not all slog; a sizable number, fed by freebees, invariably vote for those who PROMISE to upgrade their slum to earn some pocket money for themselves.
@ThisIsAnantha He says he tried to convince the hot heads in BJP for 18 long months not to seek shaky elrctoral alliances in TN and go it alone (a policy I agree with), before concluding that their paths don't align. How much more is he supposed to stay the course?
@ShobanaRaviNews They pronounce it अन्न मलै which in Tamizh means food-mountain. I have in the past tried to correct some anchors of English TV channels, to no avail.
@krithikasivasw@annamalai_k BJP perilously on downward slope ever since Nupur Sharma episode. So far I have not seen anyone wondering if JP Nadda's regime has anything to do with this decline.
“Manufactured heroes vs real leaders.” This one is genuinely rich 😂
A man who did door-to-door padayatras across the state in brutal summer heat, village by village, without a film release to ride is manufactured. A man whose political entry was greeted by fan associations converting overnight into party units, with cutouts already pre-ordered is organic. Sure. That framing makes complete sense 😂
The real problem with your post isn’t that you love Vijay. Love him all you want. He earned it. The problem is that you’re using Vijay as a ceiling, a way to tell other people that the room is full, the bar is too high, don’t bother showing up. That’s not admiration. That’s gatekeeping democracy with a fan poster.
Politics isn’t a box office competition where only the biggest opening weekend gets to govern. It’s a long, grinding, unglamorous process of contesting, losing, rebuilding, recalibrating, and trying again. Annamalai lost. He’s starting over outside the BJP structure, which, whatever you think of him, takes a certain kind of nerve. You can disagree with his politics. You can question his timing. You can debate his ideology. But dismissing the attempt itself? That’s not political commentary. That’s just a different kind of hype.
Tamil Nadu has always produced politicians who surprised everyone. Men and women who had no fanbase, no film legacy, no inherited voter bank and still moved the state. They didn’t need to be phenomena. They needed to be right, at the right moment, with the right argument. That window opens for people you least expect. It has before. It will again.
Vijay is remarkable. Genuinely. But remarkable people don’t make everyone else irrelevant. They raise the standard. They don’t lower the gate. If Vijay himself believed what you’re preaching, he would have stayed on screen where the numbers were guaranteed. He didn’t. He took the risk. He entered uncertain territory. He faced the possibility of failure publicly. That’s exactly what Annamalai is doing now, on his own terms, with his own bet.
The difference between them is ideology, timing, and yes, scale. Not courage. Not the right to try.
So keep celebrating Vijay. He deserves it. But stop using his height to measure everyone else out of the conversation. That’s not perspective. That’s just fandom with a hashtag.
@indhavaainko People who in their heart of hearts are afraid that Sh KA will one day over shadow Sh CJV are doing their best to pull down KA even by hearsay allegations. Y'day I heard a socalled senior journo do this on Nat"nl TV saying (possibly tutored) there is no space for KA in TN.
